Tomb Raider 360 vs PC

So...a PC looks better than 8 year old console parts? Amazing!
Game looks great regardless. 360, PC, onlive....don't care. As long as I get to play it.

Higher resolution texture's and cleaned up assets in the PC version, that's it.

Well, there's wind all up in her face, so her hair WOULD be up in her face.

I'd rather have TressFx (specially the new version after the patch today - the hair has more weight to it and interacts with Lara in a more realistic way), than the racoon tail of the regular version.

Seriously, it looks like she's got a racoon tail glued to her head.

The greatest strength of the PC version imo is it's higher resolution textures, which won't really be shown off when the screenshots are taken at 720p.

Just out of curiousity but does the game have the X 360 button on the PC version because you are using a 360 gamepad or is that just how the game is?

These compasion shots are sh!t an always will be. They are too small... take a 1080p screen shot and leave it at its normal size. Then get the console screen shot and stretch it to the 1080p one. Its worse and the fact consoles play on a big HDTV look even more like sh!t.

If i played the consoel version on my 27inch monitor it would look 5x worser than that.

The PC version doesn't have full effects on in these pics, it's bugged and CD messed up by only having them enabled in windowed mode. Lens flares, bloom and splash effects on screen are all missing in normal full screen mode

It only has them for gamepads. Normally it has Keyboard keys, but they're bugged and don't always show up like the 360 prompts

I noticed the PC version is using FXAA which heavily blurs the picture obscuring finer details.

You should of compared it with SSAA instead or atleast sweetfx.

I took these on the release day and in fullscreen mode so I think it was missing some effects that would of shown in the screenshots but they still look better than the ones you posted.

PC version looks notably better. It also supports a higher resolution and higher fps. 

Not as drastic a change as other games, but certainly noteworthy. Crysis 3 and FC3, I believe, are far better examples.
