Tomb Raider cover unveiled (TR and UC, pretty much apples and oranges)

We're still over months away from game release but Crystal Dynamics have finally revealed the cover to the upcoming reimagination of Tomb Raider. Interesting little factoid, Ignition which is the art agency that did the Dark Knight movie posters made this as well. It sure is gonna be a long 5 months for me :P

I like it.

These comments on EVERY SINGLE Tomb Raider thread are really silly.

Uncharted copied off of Tomb Raider and now TR does the same. It's a good thing too that games copy the best elements from other games or we would have a lot more crap games.

In all seriousness though, there is a big focus on surviving in this game. Might give this game its own unique edge

With that said, whilst I don't think this game deserves the title of poor mans Uncharted in any way, it DOES deserve criticism for dumbing certain things down for the Uncharted crowd. With everything that keeps getting revealed for this game it's becoming increasingly clear that the series has been dumbed down in gameplay in an attempt to be "cinematic" like Uncharted. As a longtime fan of the series this disgusts me. The masses will love it, but I personally hate the way they're dumbing things down for the Uncharted crowd and trying to make a better movie than a game. Hopefully they're just hiding the great traditional Tomb Raider gameplay, but I have my doubts.

Ah the good old days....kuraimen

I don't know. I enjoyed the old TR game immensely, but by the time Legend and Underworld came out its gameplay felt really outdated.

I like that they went with a new approach.
