nice try, but for a game to flop on GS it had to have been hyped. the lack of a real hype thread means you're also going against the rules with your declaration of FOTY :)

it just did poorly, no hype = no flop.

People lost interest in Too Human after the ordeal with Epic, even after the 6+ month delay of Haze Cows where still hyping Haze.

As for myself I'm gonna try Too Human out for myself when I get a 360 in Sept since it sounded like the GS reviewer sucked at the game.

Too Human went from AAA to AA as well as Haze but with Haze when the demo it was dismissed as crap UNIVERSALY. As for Too Human, even after lackluster reviews on the net AND on the same day before its review came out it STILL had hype and there's proof. Those who hyped it can tell you. They are here. Some even left Gamespot because Too HUman flopped, who left for Haze? lol

GI magazine gave it a 9.75, but their scores are usually higher than GS's. I'd still say 9.5 here, but you don't know just how a review is going to turn out here.Mordred19

Yeah Haze was bad, and that Pic comparsion by PSU was worse but by the time the demo hit, almost all jumped off what hype was left, But with Too Human despite the demo, there were many saying it was good and it was gonna own all the haters!!1

There were no threads from anybody like that about Haze post-demo. Just that one who was saying he would castrate himself if Haze scored less then a 10 but I'm pretty sure he was joking.

It's a mediocre action game but it'll be remembered for a long time to come for a few reasons most notably

1. Denis Dyack's self destruction and the damage control from him and his little hangers on (see the official thread). Denis Dyack going on Neogaf and making himself into a laughing stock then subsequently getting banned for bashing the forum in interview was absolutely hilarious. The pre-emptive damage control and insane ramblings from his most devoted fans were just sad.

2. 10 years of development with nothing good to show for it. This game has been in development for a long assed time and it still a broken mess. During that time Denis Dyack has brought a lawsuit against Epic for his own incompetence and hyped up the game to astronomical levels. He's even managed to trick a few first year philosophy students into believeing his hyperbole (again see the official thread)

I think you misunderstood me, I'm agreeing with you, I don't recall anybody really hyping this game to high heavens, maybe a few here and there just being foolish. All in all I dont remember anybody saying ooooh yeaaaa Too Human 10 all the way!!!!

i think it's safe to say everyone but the most hardcore cows and timesplitters fans stopped hyping this game after the demo. if you can find proof otherwise, so be it.

same thing happened with too human, after the demo almost everyone besides the most hardcore, such as pwninator, stopped hyping it because of how much rubbish the demo was.
