pass until we see a lot more gameplay from this one. the biggest knock from this time last year was the gameplay. the most recent videos we have show improvement, but not *excellence*.
when (if) we see excellence, it may be a winner. until we see more, this game gets no hype from me.
from ign preview:
Open World, Different ****s
Too Human is ceaselessly compared to God of War, which seems unfair because one is an all-out action endeavor and the other is one part action and part RPG. There are linearly designed levels in Too Human, but what you may not realize is that the game is centered in a gigantic hub world, Aesir. It is from this enormous area, which spans a full skyline complete with an orbital string (an elevator into space), that Baldur is able to explore the city or enter into missions. This hub world has been created hand-in-hand with Too Human's ambitious four-player cooperative mode, which can be played over Xbox Live.
"With Too Human, we're trying to seamlessly integrate multiplayer with the single-player. If you're really going to do that, you should be able to jump in any time, anywhere and go on a 15-minute mission with friends or play five or six hours straight if you want to. In order to do that, the world has to be pretty open and hub-based so you can jump anywhere and come back very much like Diablo."
Silicon Knights didn't show us this hub world or offer too many specifics about it, but we've been able to gleam from screenshots and concept art that there are great halls and at least one cybernetics center which may assist Baldur in building weapons that he can later use.
The cooperative mode runs deeper than you may have guessed because Silicon Knights has really thought about how different character ****s can be utilized in a team structure. As you begin the experience, you choose your **** which plays an integral role in how you progress through the adventure. There are five initial ****s to choose from (with more on the way as downloadable content), and we've listed them below along with official descriptions verbatim from the game.
It's my most anticipated title next to Halo 3 and Mass effect. I mean come on who can't love this.

doesn't matter how pretty a still picture is if the gameplay doesn't deliver.
^^^ I trust silicon knights. Besides IGN previewed it and they seem to like it. silentobithey "seem to like" every game. even the ones that get destroyed in the review.

I've seen this game in motion. I can't see SK turning it around significantly unless this game is delayed till 360 is on it's way out, in which case it might get moved to Xbox 720. I'm just not sure if SK knows how to pull off this kind of game, especially using UE3 engine. I predict a low-to-mid 7.Timstuff
I tend to agree. but they need to make this game succeed somehow. they've put a lot of MS-sponsored scratch into this game...and it's supposed to be the first of a trilogy. if the first game flops, the 2nd and 3rd games' sales will suffer. I'm sure Microsoft isn't above cutting their losses if this game hasn't made significant improvements.
again, all 3 games are to come out this generation...which gives them approx. 4 years to pump out 3 games.
I think SK may be in trouble. I'm sure their leash grows short.
Those with thin throats get lynched with thick ropes...
Less than 4 years most likely. MS wants their consoles to have a lifespan of 4-5 years, and we're almost 2 years into the 360's life. Too Human will have to be released this year regardless of how polished it is, or else SK is not going to be on scheduel with the other two. And if the game isn't that good, I doubt it will be a trilogy. I think it's SK who should cut their losses, and move to greener pastures if TH is not very good rather than waste everyone's time plodding through two more helpings of TH.
