Top 100 First Person Shooters - Killzone 3 = #70 lol

I agree that Doom is still a very enjoyable, adrenaline pumping experience (on Nightmare), but such criticism towards HL is hurting my soul.

HL1 has excellent AI (exception being the weird way the enemies turn to face you wen you're close to them), great gunplay, great level design (with the exception of the platforming sections) and is a overall tightly paced, varied and extremely fun game. How can you seriously tell me that it has 'aged terribly' wen its AI is still better than some modern FPS games (like the shit AI in Crysis 2).

Halo: CE (on Legendary, Splitscreen co-op mode and the f*cking fantastic 4 player splitscreen), Half Life and Doom are my personal eternally fun trinity of first person shooters. You may have a point with HL 2 (it's baffling how its AI & gunplay is vastly inferior than in HL1), but not with Half Life.

70 seems a bit high for KZ :P Seriously, I do not get how people like Sony's shooter series. I've played Killzone 1 and 2, Resistance 1 and 2, MAG, Warhawk, Socom 4 and they were all mediocre at best. I don't understand the love... locopatho

Why this list sucks

- Killzone 3 has a better single player campaign than any Halo this gen.

- Far Cry 2 is on the list

- Same for Halo ODST

- A lot of these games really aren't shooters (Metroid, Deus Ex)

- F.E.A.R. is a top ten shooter by any standard

- Both L4D games should be higher

- Neither Darkness game made the list

Half Life 1 has the best campaign of any FPS series ever.

Half Life 2 is a tad boring at times, but it's worth playing through for the story.

Half Life has some brilliant story-telling.
