1. Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn- The. Best. RPG. Ever.
2. Deus Ex- The best FPS/RPG hybrid to date, and one of the most replayable games ever made.
3. Medal of Honor: Allied Assault- I'd argue that this game is responsible for the modern FPS, with its superb use of music, scripted moments and level design. The Omaha Beach level, a re-creation of the Omaha Beach scene from Saving Private Ryan, is of particular note.
