The only FPS I've played that's worth mentioning.
you guys do know about a game called "Crysis" right?
its pretty kickass
k3ck
I haven't played it (and probably won't be playing it for a VERY long time since my PC won't run it), and I'm not enough of an ultra-fanboy that I'll list something as being one of the best without having played it.
[QUOTE="k3ck"]I haven't played it yet. Upgrading my pc actually this week.you guys do know about a game called "Crysis" right?

... Haze! no wonder you got owned on system wars bets.
PS: its games you have played (not demos... UT3)
I was just looking for another FPS to put on top of Halo 3, because it's boring.(haven't touched my copy in 3 weeks)
Bioshock should have been #4 for me. IMO Haze will be less boring than halo 3, so that's why it was there. I completely blanked about bioshock...
And UT3. I've already played the demo more than any other game I listed above. So, if the demo's enough to make me play 30+ hours, I think the real game will be enough to make me play 300+ hours.
And I got owned because I went out on a whim against SMG. Stupid move, can't count on review sites when they're going to get spammed to hell and back if they don't give SMG(or halo 3) a "great" score.
1 Halo 3
2 Crysis
3 Bioshock
4 RAINBOW SIX
5 GEARS OF WAR(360), PC version is not that great and you need to use the 360 controller for this game.
This year?
1)Unreal Tournament 3
2)Crysis
3)CoD4
4)Haze
5)Maybe halo 3?

3 bioshock
4 r6v

but it will probably change once I get crysis (was delayed a week here in nz)
Just got done playing about 2 hours of Crysis on a high spec PC. Firefights were around sub 30 fps, but without the fps counter on its gameplay was too slow to really bother me. It's an awesome game, though. The particle effects and the tree leaves getting hit from bullets and falling and such make it so atmospheric. I had some gamer headphones on or something like that and it was one of the most atmospheric games.
The AI can seem lame at times, but if there are more than 6 guys surrounding you, you're usually in trouble
Compared to Far Cry, I like Crysis much more. I like the character better and the gameplay. It seems easier than Far Cry, but thats only because popular demand wanted health regen so much.
