Blazin I'm afraid to tell you-- Gears of War isn't a FPS. It's a 3rd person shooter.

Portal isn't a FPS either. It's a puzzle game in first person shooter, more like a FPP(First person puzzle). Calling Portal a FPS is like calling Myst a FPS. As amazing as the game is, it's not a FPS.
