Every generation has its classics, in the '90 there was the Ocarina of Time, Mario64, Planescape Torment, Starcraft, and Metal Gear Solid. From 2000-2005 there was Halo 2, Resident Evil 4, Half Life 2, KOTR, and God of War. So What games will we remember as this generations classics?
I will start by saying(in no order)
1. Super Mario Galaxy 2 (extremely fun gameplay that reminded us why we play games in the first place)
2. Metal Gear Solid 4 (concluded the epic MGS franchise with a bang, and amazing plot)
3. Uncharted 2 (pushed new boundaries for console graphics while maintaining an enjoyable storyline and fun gameplay mechanics)
4. Demon Souls (Extremely difficult for a generation of ridiculously easy games, yet so so satisfying and entertaining)
5. Bioshock (Gorgeous art style and showed the FPS genre that you CAN make a shooter with a solid storyline with epic twists)
Crispenz
Only huge games, with huge variety in locations and gameplay could ever claim such title, like Zelda or complex deep RPGs
So, my list
1. Fable 3 (the most innovative action adventure RPG, become king, rule and change kingdoms, gather followers, garrison castled cities and of course adventure in a huge varied world, with some of the best art, and a stunning overworld map far before FF13vs and which FF13 did not deliver)
2. Mass Effect series (The best sci-fi RPG ever created easilly, enough said, complex battle with biotics and gun fighting and a team)
3. Two worlds 2 (the biggest open RPG world, great visuals, huge variety, sailing the open seas etc)
4. Demon Soul (amazing WRPG, a little too hard on the gamer, but ver challenging and great art / atmosphere, great bosses), Dragon Age and Risen
5. Alan Wake or Zelda Wii (if it is nothing like Zelda TP, and more likeWW or OOT, could be one of the best, i did not like TP though, so this is here just because of OOT, WW and MM)
