The game is awesome so far! I haven't been able to make my online account and link it to steam until today, which is where this game will really be awesome for me.

Luckily I get to use my SP char online I believe, and there's LAN. For $20 there's no excuse not to get this! I can't wait to play some online with my friends today and tomorrow! :D

I just started sinking time into it today. Been too busy with Borderlands (I heart claptrap)!

Immediately addictive! Jeebus, even the startign abuilities feel entirely satisfying and look super cool. Makes we wonder what I'm going to see once I get more higher level abilities!

Only got to play it for an hour yesterday, but hooray weekend! So gonna game myself to death on this tonight. I noticed its even moddable (and its got a friggen LAN option, how badass is that? Multi-player developers, if you truly respect PC gamers, take note of that!) which is a huge plus in my books.

The mod kit will be out soon, so expect modding in the next few weeks. They said this game is even easier to mod than Torchlight 1.

TL1 was incredibly boring in my opinion, but TL2 is much improved. I still think that D3>TL2, but then again it is too early to tell.

this is alot of fun, even normal isn't a cakewalk like d3 was.

the difficulty really does ramp up.

being able to reset skills with 3 points into them is nice, it encourages exploration of the skill tree while still supporting min/max.

Overall much more satisfying than d3 so far, the game doesn't look bad either.

also the music is awesome! it feels like the diablo 2 in that regard.

Its a...9.1:shock:

Jonwh18

personally torchlight 2 > diablo 3. No always online requirement or ingame store and its modable

Apparently you aren't the only one:

"Its not a competition. Theres a reason we dont put scores at the end of reviews, and its because games shouldnt be ranked on some giant graph its stupid and arbitrary. We can say which is our most favourite, of course, and we do. But I am not willing to get into a pie-fight between Torchlight 2 and Diablo III. Saying that, Torchlight 2 is WAY better than Diablo III."

Only about 3-4 hours into it currently but it's been well worth the wait. The combat feels smooth and satisfying with a great ton of loot. Can't wait to dive into it a bit more this weekend!

No. The developers said they won't port it to Xbox, they barely managed to fit the first one on XBLA and this sequel is muchbigger.

But it's not like you have to have a 1000 dollar pc or anything to play this :? this game will run on practically anything...

mems_1224

Oh I may buy this then, I like to support PC focused devs.

Shame about the those PoorBox owners though.

yea its great when a group of people get to miss out on a great game

Yes it is, saves the devs from interacting with lemmings. That is a very good thing.

Yeah, but Torchlight has gathered a healthy following. I have no doubt we'll see a third. And it probably won't take 12 years to make.

It could take a while though. They have said they don't want to make another ARPG right away and their MMO is on hold, they want to create a game in a different genre now.

You have got to love the diablo 3 forums, best part of that game.

Too busy playing FTL and Borderlands 2 to play this. I liked the original Torchlight, so someday I shall definitely play this. So... backlog it is.
