Toukiden 2 Review 7/10. Outscores highest-scoring xbone exclusive this year lol

Another game on the PS4 and not on the xbone that basically outscored every exclusive on the xbone this year so far. And it's a game that had no hype at all. What does that say about the pathetic state the xbone is in?

Xbox One is the core of all gaming. Everything is and will always be about the Xbox One. No system garners the same amount of attention. Xbox One today, Xbox One tomorrow, Xbox One forever. I look forward to the next PS4 game that will be focused on the Xbox One.

I actually want to get this game. It comes in near the middle/bottom of my list though... still need to get all of the games that have released this year.

Apparently, this is another one of those Monster Hunter-like game? Can anyone please sum up the appeal of this genre to me?

Not Toukiden. Toukiden is notorious for having shit looking armours. Or at least was with the first one.

I played it for the same kind of appeal as Dynasty Warriors, i.e. I have no idea why I'm playing it but I am and I will continue to.

@funsohng: im talking more about the general appeal this type of games have not this individual instance. There are many games based on collecting stuff, gamers dig that.

All jokes aside, Toukiden is a pretty decent and underestimated series, it and god eater are the monster hunters of playstation/pc

Do you know how in dark souls where you fight bosses and try to do stuff like get their tails and vindictus where you have to like spear certain body parts to get that drop? It's pretty much that sort of thing.

Imagine fighting an epic boss that is super overpowering with 3 of your good friends as you have specific plans on how to do things and each have a different role as you try to not only beat the boss, but break the boss apart to get special drops.

It's pretty much a cool boss rush game with fun co op.

All three have different types of things you fight and Toukiden might be the weakest (haven't played 2) but it's main variation is that it's open world.

All 3 are pretty good if you're into the style of game though, it's just comparing 3 very good series.

I enjoyed the hell out of the first game, so I am looking forward to diving into this one at some point. There are a lot of games coming out these days and my time is more limited than ever. I'll be picking this up on pc by the way.
