ToV sells more in its first week on the PS3 than in its lifetime on the xbox

This means that the incomplete 360 beta was worth nothing more than a fund raiser for another AA RPG to join PS3's ranks?

Pirate Patty Fleur has been added, and integrated into the story, movies and event scenes.

Flynn can be added to the party more frequently, and take the top slot and change skills.

The entire scenario is now fully voiced.

A large number of new skits have been added, apparently bringing the total to twice what was in the beta version.

With two new characters added the story has been adjusted.

Event camera work has been adjusted.

Event scenes can now be skipped.

Three new dungeons have been added along with an additional above ground area.

New bosses and giant monsters have been added.

New missions, events, secret missions and submissions are confirmed.

Party AI has been enhanced.

New ougi for each character have been added.

OVL gauge can now extend to 5 with unknown effects.

New skills have been added.

A total of 26 new attacks for the various characters have been added.

Bosses can be refought in a practice mode.

Arena party battles have been added.

Attack sounds are enhanced.

New items have been added.

Namco Island has more features.

Smaller gameplay changes too numerous to mention are also added.

New costumes:sankaku complex

1. People have found patty's data on the 360 disc!
2. Patty's room is available tough hidden - containing references to a character that would only get implemented on the PS3 release
3. Scenes in the game were obviously tailored for a 9 people lineup with only 7 characters in the cast (check the link i posted for proof)
4. more

Suprising how people blindly flail away any beta comments while failing to dispute any arguments.

360: Looks like somethings missing?

ps3: Painfully obvious yet?

360: Patty's hidden room

ps3: mainchar "So you were here all along?"@ Patty

Well, I guess that will be the last time that Namco does a timed exclusive for the Tales series. I bet they would have made even more money had they just released it multiplat day one like they planned, hopefully the extra dough they got to make it a timed exclusive was worth it.

Still, good to see good games sell well....Late Ports hurt sales bad, and these sales show that despite the late port, the game is doing alright, but we all know it would have done even better.

I wouldn't be surprised if it outsells the 360 version worldwide in 1 weeks time. THe ps3 is o na roll right now and the 360 has been losing momentum for over a year.

May i rever you to the proof inside this thread http://www.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=27045782&page=0

The 360 version is invested with placeholders and unfinished content that would only see the downlight on the PS3 version.

This means they were already working on the PS3 version while still working on the 360 "exclusive"over a year ago, reducing the console to nothing more than a fund raiser from microsofts exclusivity bribes.

Tales of Vesperia

These seem like nice changes though I just could not wait for this version so I already picked up the 360 version which I had to wait to play for almost a full year for it to arrive here in the EU.

PS3 gets the finished final product, 360 gets a placeholder invested unfished 1 year beta. ________ How would you describe a game ridden with placeholders for a future release? If i buy a FPS game and discover 7 unused weapon skins, 3 unusable multiplayer maps and 6 unused character models in the game files only to hear a future release for a entirely diverent console will have all these unlocked then yeah damn straight im gona call it a beta!

No it's not a fact , if it was losing momentum it wouldn't be still selling 2 million copies of a game in one day (more than one of ps3's most hyped games lifetime sales) , now is the ps3 is becoming better than it was in the past , Yes , but 2010 is still a different story .

wow, lvl 20+ with 3k posts and yet you act like a complete fanboy. it's not a beta, period. and where did you hear about the new content already being on the disc? Namco said they had to bring in more content if they wanted to port it to the ps3, or else Sony wouldn't accept it.

if the 360 is losing momentum, why are it's sales up 17% this year http://www.industrygamers.com/news/xbox-360-sales-up-17-in-2009/ and why is it the only console that has shown any sales growth this year

1. People have found patty's dialogue on the 360 disc!
2. Patty's room is available tough hidden - containing references to a character that would only get implemented on the PS3 release
3. Scenes in the game were obviously tailored for a 9 people lineup with only 7 characters in the cast (check the link i posted for proof)
4. more

Suprising how people blindly flail away any beta comments while failing to dispute any arguments.

so by your logic, the ps3 version of fallout 3 is a BETA, cos it didn't get any of the extra content the 360 had,lol

More like Wii is losing momentum. The Wii sales recently havent been that high.(it might change after the price cut, then again the wii is already kinda cheap to begin with)

X360 on the other hand is doing the same. It increased a bit due to the price cut.

dude , you can't call a game a BETA just because it's released later on another console with extra content, the 360 version of UT3 released later on the xbox 360 had improved graphics and extra maps and an extended campaign, but we don't call the ps3 version of UT3 a BETA do we, basically your logic is completely flawed, because a BETA is an unfinished game that cannot be played all the way through, you can play the whole game on 360, therfore it is not a BETA, calling the 360 version of ToV a BETA just doesn't make any sense in the real world, unless of course you want to concede that the ps3 version of UT3 was a beta, lol

Do you completely FAIL at reading?!? That a game is re-released with extra content does not make a game a beta THAT THE GAME HAS UN-IMPLEMENTED DATA ON THE DISC thats witheld for the PS3 release makes it a beta. you are not given the full experience despite most of it already having been in the works during the 360's development and on the disc but unplayable!

lol well according to the pictures presented here it seems the 360 version was in fact an incomplete game and was therefore a beta

Cows should play a BETA for once in there life. Betas dont ADD extra content, i've played TONS of betas, betas is only to fix errors.

It's a good game, cows should buy it if they are into JRPGs.

Lemmings shouldn't feel bad. They got to play a good game too.

The extra content is nice but it isn't going to substantially change things and anyone who has actually played the game will understand that. Listing every little change seems impressive, until you peel away the BS and realize that most of it is minor.

And the beta comments are overdone. Chances are any game with different timed releases already has development work/extra content underway for the later release at the time of the first release. It is naive to believe that isn't the case. The only difference here is they were so blatant as to put the code in the 360 version. Version control seems sloppy to me.

And I would expect that a JRPG on the PS3 would outsell the 360 version in Japan very quickly. I mean, d'uh, who wouldn't expect that?

an incomplete game is beta. there for what lemming did was beta test the game for ps3 owners who got the whole package which was all the content that was intended to be included in the first game.

[QUOTE="delta3074"]dude , you can't call a game a BETA just because it's released later on another console with extra content, the 360 version of UT3 released later on the xbox 360 had improved graphics and extra maps and an extended campaign, but we don't call the ps3 version of UT3 a BETA do we, basically your logic is completely flawed, because a BETA is an unfinished game that cannot be played all the way through, you can play the whole game on 360, therfore it is not a BETA, calling the 360 version of ToV a BETA just doesn't make any sense in the real world, unless of course you want to concede that the ps3 version of UT3 was a beta,loldelta3074

How would you describe a game ridden with placeholders for a future release?

If i buy a FPS game and discover 7 unused weapon skins, 3 unusable multiplayer maps and 6 unused character models in the game files only to hear a future release for a entirely diverent console will have all these unlocked then yeah damn straight im gona call it a beta!

do you fail at cmmon sense, a BETA is an incomplete game, despite not having the extra content, ToV 360 to all intents is a complete game, here, why don't you read this and actually learn something http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_release_life_cycle#Beta

The game was incomplete, that's why they finished what they really wanted in the game for the PlayStation 3.

[QUOTE="II_Seraphim_II"]What is this "beta" crap people keep spouting? If that isn't trolling then I dunno what is :?Liquid_DC
an incomplete game is beta. there for what lemming did was beta test the game for ps3 owners who got the whole package which was all the content that was intended to be included in the first game.

Agreed, you don't make a game and leave out stuff only because you choose not to have it on the console it belongs on. Lets face it, had this game not been ported later on, the PlayStation 3 version would be as dull as the Xbox 360 version.

Cows should play a BETA for once in there life. Betas dont ADD extra content, i've played TONS of betas, betas is only to fix errors.

gamer-adam1
That's what they did, they fixed the error of not having the content that should have been in the original release, by putting it in the complete PlayStation 3 version.

It seems more to me like they took out content from the 360 version to later release it on the PS3 version since Sony required extra content for the delays (the pictures shown clearly point out to the existance of more characters since the 360 version). It is a very low thing to do but lemmings should blame MS for thinking they can buy themselves to the top with this timed exclusivity crap.

I don't agree with those that call the 360 version a beta.

But i am happy that the company making ToV gave a big ____ you to microsoft. Using the money they got for keeping it timed exclusive and pulling characters in the original xbox release for known/planned characters later on is pretty funny.

Once again not funny for 360 gamers who didn't get those extras but very funny to see microsoft's plan back fire.

How did it backfire, the 360 game is still excellent and MS profited from the boost they got in Japan.

Well if the release of it in Japan after a couple of days is catching up to the total sales of the 360 version i would call that a backfire.

And i don't know if you read my post but i never said the 360 version isn't exellent..."I don't agree with those that call the 360 version a beta." because like others have mentioned they invested up to 50 hours into the game.

This isn't the first time ps3 owners paid $60 for year old ports of games that are irrelevant come 2nd release.

Like we don't have other games to play.

We don't sit on a couch and stare blankly at a tv screen counting down the days :P
