Is the name really fucking stupid? Yes, yes it is. Especially because of the double "k' at the end, I mean what the ****. Also because the word toxic makes me think of Muk from pokemon and that one brittany spears song? right? But that's not the fucking point. The point is.

It's a throwback arena shooter to the old days, and yeah we live in a world where a free version of the greatness that is Unreal Tournament exists. But the beauty of this here is that the game is 15 bucks, so you don't have to buy the game and it's dlc at pound me in the ass prices, and in a move of either desperation or trust in their own fucking game, they'll let you play a shareware version of the game.

No F2P shit, no microtransactions, no day 1 dlc. If you like it enough you can pony up for the real deal, if you are interested you can try it before you spend a dime, and if you think it sucks? You move the **** on. If for no other reason, it at least comes off as the dev wants to sell you their game, by actually giving you a fucking game and being up front about shit.

So maybe you people should give it a spin if you have a PC and some time to kill, who knows it might actually turn out pretty rad. Lord knows you people have paid for shittier games that were marketed to you with complete and utter bullshit.

I downloaded it, but became kind of bored of arena shooters long ago. I'll check it out, but probably won't play it for long.

For some reason I loved Shootmania though so perhaps I'll enjoy this? Probably not but i'll try it anyways

Just tried a bot match. I assume it's not as fast as Unreal, but it was still quite a thrill.

I somehow just joined a match that just ended, so it's, as stated, still vanilla. The weapons all feel fun to use, although I wish that the weapon you started off with wasn't such shit. The shotgun in particular is a blast, no pun intended.

Man, I wish this game had some sort of clamber. I'm spoiled in 2016.

So only did one real match and one bot match so far, both on the Hong Kong stage. The game is fantastic.

I spawned next to the Cerberus a few times (the game's rocket launcher), which I thought was unfair. Turns out that the game is really well balanced, as not only did I feel I got a fair amount of kills off the rocket launcher (including three suicides, welp) but also that I could easily fight back those against it (granted, their aim was also a benefactor for me here). The Bullcraft (the shotgun) feels amazingly clean, I managed to get a beautiful headshot off someone after my teammate weakened them down. Most of the weapons feel good to use, if a little redundant in some cases, but I've only played two matches so far so what do I know? I've managed to take on shotguns, rockets, snipers, and more with just a good laser/assault rifle by virtue of my good aim.

Of course, in nearly every multiplayer game I play near launch, I end up doing really well, then the scrubs leave, and then it's just lolBlab the rest of the way through. A tip: scrubs don't know that running into your own flamethrower's flames hurts you.

Honestly though, I was excited playing the game. I love jumping around like crazy and trying to keep my aim down on someone. It's beautifully kinetic, and it's what makes KBM worth it. I was pumped and I'm definitely ready to hand them $15 if they keep this up. I need to see spawns being fixed though, as I can easily run into enemies that annihilate me with my starting pistol. The Hong Kong map could also use more in-routes to get me back in the action faster. Otherwise, **** yeah, try/buy this game.

@Blabadon: That's some damn promising impressions, how's the game doing from technical standpoint? i mean crashes, servers, ping, etc.

And yeah, the gameplay looks fun enough.

I've almost decided to download it, but it's one of those games that I'm sure will never have enough players to always find a good game.

My sound disappeared when it went to the 2nd match. Also, maybe it's because I have all my work programs open, such as Outlook, etc. but the framerate was dropping a bit--even with a Titan X and 4770k.

Honestly, I have had more fun with the 8 hours in this game then the 20 hours in U4 Alpha. It feels way more faster and the maps are more diverse. Only thing I like that UT4 has is wall running and sliding. Well I'm glad that it has +1k concurrent players at the moment instead of the whopping 40 it had a couple of days ago. Hopefully Toxikk can stay popular!

Also the game runs smoother (then again, U4 is still in Alpha). The optimization of this game is just top notch, something I rarely see with PC games (Obduction uses a whopping 7GB of VRAM at 1440p with textured turned to "Epic". I wasn't expecting games to bump up against the 8GB wall any time soon. The game does look gorgeous, though)

The devs can expect a purchase from me within the next few days when I got money to spend.

Getting some major UT2K4 vibes... almost on the edge of a ripoff. I mean, that aerial vehicle looked and behaved almost exactly like the Raptor as did the Rocket Launcher lock-on. And the weapon design is bland as can be. And the name is stupid as ****.

That being said, I'll give it a try. The maps looks sweet as does the moment to moment gameplay. No regenerating health and weapon pick ups? Hell yeah.

Advantage it has over UT4, it's finished.

I've been having my eye on this for long. So it's finished and out now? Very cool, will try it later. I'm pretty happy with UT at the moment, but trying this out as well can't hurt.

Its a decent game. It feels like a faster bootleg Halo 5. Probably won't play too much of it though. Between Overwatch, Halo, Rainbow Six, Rocket League and Smite I don't have time for another multiplayer game.

It's not F2P. I dunno if you're too young to know what shareware is but it aint F2P. There's no micro transaction BS, there's just a demo that can be played online and the full game.

tried the free version last night as well, enjoyed it and surprised myself by doing well but I think it has some skill system that places you with low-skill players initially.

I tried it and I didn't like it that much. The one map I was able to play was too focused on vehicles which I didn't enjoy.

Looks like I'll have to buy the game if I want to choose which game modes I want to play.

The ctf one with a mech and a truck on each side? Bad luck of the draw for a first match if so.
