Toys For Bob wants to make a new Banjo-Kazooie game.

So Toys For Bob who did a great job on the Spyro trilogy remakes and Crash Bandicoot 4 wants to bring back Banjo-Kazooie again.

Seriously Microsoft have them make a new Banjo-Kazooie game again since Rare isn't doing it themselves.

As a huge fan of Banjo/Kazooie games, please don't give me hope. Please tell Toys for Bob is serious about bringing back Banjo/Kazooie? If Astrobot proves anything that a good platform game with the right team can make it work and that game was highly successful, Banjo/Kazooie has what it takes to go up against Astrobot.

It's really sad most companies only care about MP revenue when SP games are still in high demands.

I'll never understand the banjo hype. The games were always mediocre 🤷

Rare can't do it?

One of the best developers to give a shot at making a new Banjo for sure. They have done a great job with the crash/spyro games.

Then why don't they?

Give the IP to another dev if they're to stubborn to do it themselves.

Rare is busy with Kinect and lame apps. They are just a hollow shell of what they used to be, and the original team is long gone.

They're too stubborn to go back to Banjo-Kazooie, for whatever reason. Give the IP to a team that's actually passionate for the originals. I don't think Rare has it anymore.

I guess both of you don't know Rare is working on their next big AAA game that is Everwild. Everwild was announced back 2019 but that game has been MIA for awhile now.

Kinect? LOL no one's making anymore of those Kinect games.

@davillain: I was being facetious about Kinect. And I don't care about what Rare is doing. Nothing they do these days is anywhere close to their prime years.

@jaydan: I agree. Rare is a shadow of their former self. Sea of Thieves proves it.

Crash 4 is one of the best platformers in the last years imho. I liked it better than Mario Odyssey. I'm sure they would make an incredible job with it

Afaik the people who worked on a lot of platformers for Rare are now at Playtonic.

While it had a rough launch & was pretty meh, it's well regarded and a great game as of today. I'd advice taking it for its current state.

I hope this gets the go-ahead and they make a third game. We really don't need a Spyro-style remake. We already have the XBLA versions and they are terrific.

If, in some theoretical world, they made a third game, I would really want the interconnected world design of Tooie with the enemy spawn mechanics of 1 (enemies respawned endlessly in Tooie and completely ruined the game for me)

Their Spyro remakes looked disgusting. The games were better with the surreal graphics of the PS1.

I would have been okay with it if they allowed us to switch to the old graphics, but yeah I felt the exact same way.

Never liked BK, so don't care I'd it comes back or not
