Transformers actor Shia LaBeouf has a thing or two to say about the Wii

"Q: You play everything including real-time strategy?
A: Buddy, I'm a gamer. Not just the fake ones you read about."

Okay so from his answer, you'd assume his answer is yes right?

"Q: What's wrong with the Wii?
A: This is how in a simple way you can find out if it's a gamer you want to play with. Ask them if they have a Wii. If they say yes, get the f*** out of there."

If you don't have a Wii, then you don't play everything. You can still play every genre of game on a different console, but you don't really get to experience all the gaming goodness the Wii has to offer. I'm not saying you have to like Mario or Zelda to be a gamer, but the way he answered that question just shows his ignorance and that he really doesn't have any knowledge of the good Wii games in existence. To me, he seems like a stuck up jerk.

people, he has a wii, he is just trying to say that he prefers playing his 360 instead. i kind of agree with him, there are only a few games that i can play on the wii when i am bymyself(mostly because of the online) compared to the 360 or ps3 where ican play alone all day. This fact makes the wii feel very casual.

Those actors that can only play themselves get really old and repetitive. Shia does this, but imo he is an exception beause he is a REALLY good actor none the less, give him time. The kid from Year One, Superbad, Juno (etc) does this, Vince Vaun, and so on, and they will NEVER win academy award, EVER!

But characters like Heath Ledger playing the Joker is a good example of a true actor

I agree with Shia... I owned a Wii at its launch, and then i sold it about4 months later. It was a gimmick. Playing last gen games but rather tahn pressing a button to jump, you simply flick your wrist. No thanks!

And if im not a gamer because i own only a 360, than im glad! Because that means i have some sort of a life! (i did own all consoles at one point, but sold the Ps3 and Wii later on)

I'm not upset, what you said dosen't really affect my life at all. Its just immature to say imply that only children can enjoy nintendo products. Also I was kind of attacking the whole "nintendo is for kids" attitude people have around here and you just happened to be a prime example.

I'm not upset, what you said dosen't really affect my life at all. Its just immature to say imply that only children can enjoy nintendo products. Also I was kind of attacking the whole "nintendo is for kids" attitude people have around here and you just happened to be a prime example.

As ive been saying around these boards, video games are a form of entertainment. So with that in mind, you dont see many 23 year old rushing to the movies to see UP, Aliens vs. Monsters, or other kid friendly movies, right? Sure they can still purchase a ticket and go see it, and some will probably enjoy it (i loved Wall-e), but most will disregard it because it doesnt target their age group, they arnt interested, etc. Same goes for video games. But im also aware that most "gamers" tend to like being "different" than their normal peers, so most will buy Nintendo's kid friendly, "cute" games simply because of their attitudes about life

Theres nothing wrong with it, people have different outlooks on life. And mine tends to lean towards the "im an adult that shys away from kid oriented products"

Exactly! Its simply a Xbox 1 but rather than pressing the "A" button to jump, you flick the remote up... And even the Xbox had DVD playability and a decent online servicewith online games!
