Tough call. I think CoD4 probably does look better, but it's much closer to completion than KZ2 so who knows how KZ2 could improve graphically in the next 8-9 months, (it's slated for a March '08 release)..
meh its hard to tell but so far COD4 just by a very little microscopic bit. although that will change for sure when they get the graphics near to be finished. it will look amazing!
Personally, I think Killzone 2, I didn't see what all the COD4 fuss was about. But then again, I thought the Halo 3 SP screenshots looked better than both.
COD4 is only slightly better looking that KZ2 IMO. But that really shouldn't matter because both games look fantastic and that marginal difference is going to go unnoitced in gameplay.

i think that will be killzone yep. it has superior lighting as the before i posted dude above me said. it also has better effects i think. plus shooting a guy when you know he is already dead but hasnt dropped yet that still wriggles is awesome. yey more fun for me :)
Are you serious? I honestly do not see why people think CoD4 looks great, did you see the 2d grass? It's basically Cod2 in a different setting, now Killzone 2, that is a next gen title all the way, graphics, animation, sound, everything is top notch, and the production values are through the roof!
Lemmings and sheep are gonna say true Cows are gonna say false. COD 4 comes out this year Killzone 2 comes out next year. Its gonna look better in the end.
here's how i see it. it seems to me that killzone 2 will probably have some better animations as far as deaths, but cod4 overall in graphics will look better.
The things KZ had going for it were animations and character models. CoD4 was just better in every other aspect, which accounts for a lot more. So yes, CoD4 does look better then KZ as of right now.
Beyond FALSE! Download both trailers off of the PSN--then watch both on an HDTV. Both will blow you away--but watch COD4 first--as Killzone will blow you out of your house.
Once you see them this way--you can clearly see that Killzone really is much better. I watched both on my 60 inch 1080p. Â
I have showed them off to friends and relatives that don't know anything about gaming. Their reactions to COD4 was "Wow--that looks amazing!" Their reactions to Killzone were "Dear lord--is that even a game? It looks like some computer animated movie, yeah like Toy Story or Finding Nemo, but much darker--kind of like what Saving Private Ryan would have looked like had it been a movie like Nemo! Wow, you mean you will be able to actually control a person and play through a fight scene like that?!?!?!?!"
Trust me, go see for your selves. Also, COD4 looks great, but many games like Mass Effect, Bio Shock, MGS4, Uncharted, Lair--all look to be better looking. Then there is Crysis--who owns them all.
Crysis=prettiest game of all time.
Killzone2=prettiest console game of all time (so far)

Well, I have two eyes and a 60inch 1080p HDTV and they say that Killzone doesn't look slightly better, it looks a lot better. And I would love to see any gaming site actually write that COD4 looks better than Killzone2. I want to see a sentence like that. Because if so, then wow are they biased.
Here is an idea--don't take my word or anyones word. Go see for your self on an HDTV. Even the biggest fanboy could not argue this point.
well...just from what we have all seen.....id say that COD has better graphics, while Killzone has faster paced action.....and please......just going from what has been shown so far. I know as much as the rest of you....unless some of you actually work on the games, and if thats the case, BUST OUT WITH SOME BOOTLEG PICS :P
I dunno what's the big fuss about COD4. Looks nice I guess, but it doesn't look as good as Bioshock, Mass Effect, or Halo 3 for the 360. I'm surprised people are comparing a multiplat to Killzone 2.
Anyway, I think Killzone looks nicer than COD4 atm judging by the trailers, but we'll have to wait to release to get the final decision on this.

False. The normal mapping on CoD4 is an abortion, the foliage is knee-deep in jaggies, and the environments are simplistic. After that, the gameplay looks identical to a Tom Clancy shooter.
And why are people hyping it?
Because they're hoping it will show up Killzone through minutia.
