Their incessant behavior of turning videogames into horribly written movies is just embarrassing and regresses videogames into a very limited experience. There is a good reason why everyone moves on and forgets Sony's movie games relatively fast. These games are hyped for a couple of weeks upon release and then no one cares. MS and Nintendo games are about pure fun that have lasting appeal and they don't try to be something they're not.

Think about it, the biggest Sony exclusives this gen have been heavily cinematic-based and that trend is continuing with "games" like TLOU2, Days Gone, Detroit: Become Human, Death Stranding, etc...it's just plain sad. This is why I can't get myself to be remotely interested in a Sony exclusive.

People are still talking about The Last of Us 5 years later. People are still talking about Journey 6 years later. People are still talking about Horizon Zero Dawn a year later and will be for the next years. People are still talking about Persona 5 more than a year later and will for a long time. People are still talking about Shadow of The Colossus 12 years later. People are still talking about about Uncharted as a series after 10 years of the first game. We can go on, but I guess I just proved that those cinematic based games are far more relevant than the shooters microsoft used to release (they can't even get that right lately)... I mean... who even remembers a mainline Halo game was released this generation?

I don't really see them hurting the industry being on top either. What I do see is Microsoft and Nintendo busting their asses because of Sony's dominance right now. That is the important part for me right now.

I am hoping this exclusive dominance by Sony and Nintendo really lights a fire under Microsoft ass to produce better games. Only time will tell right now.

They have wonderful hardware and services, but damn they need some talent on the development side.

Since the point and click games from 80s and 90s, i always loved story driven games. I'm glad Sony (and indie devs) are keeping that trend alive.

This gen had been pretty stale before the release of Switch. There were a few nice moments like the release of any exclusive game on any platform, especially Bloodborne and Quantum Break, also the announcements certain games being canceled, but it was fairly predictable.

Now I'm quite sad I wasn't here when Scalebound was cancelled... It was probably quite a treat.

Well, they fill the console disproportionately with GPUs, so they have to use them to "wow" you to justify the hefty price tag. This is why over-emphasizing graphics is bad for everyone. The only people who should disagree with this are the ones that are still playing The Order.

@tormentos: and then what happened with ps3? They screwed that up and took all gen to recover. The success of the ps2 made them cocky. They release a $600 console thinking people would by it anyway. If 360 didn’t exist and be a huge success they would have tried the same shit is ps4

I own ps4 pro. One S. Switch. Pc g4560+1050ti.

So Im not a fanboy at all. I own them all (got each one on sales (black friday helped me too couple of times).

First competition is king. If one company gets a monopoly its going to be really bad for the consummer.

Second: Sony has some amazing games. Been playing Horizon and uncharted and ita so much fun I love it.

But I also spend lots of time playing gears of war 4 on my one s and pc (friends comming over play with me sometimes too since I own pc and one s and have 2 tv.

So nop. Sony games are not bad as anti sony guys say. Id go as far as saying that no matter which machine you own .. you will enjoy a lot (if you are a gamer). Just hope people getting one machine dont turn into fanboys to feel better about their purchage since that tends to happen

Thank goodness this little guy is shaking things up since XBox has demonstrated beyond a reasonable doubt they just don't have the culture it takes to be in Sony's arena any more.

If they don't have games for us at E3 this year, I am full-blown campaigning for them to step aside and make room for another to at least TRY to have that competition everyone is saying they love so much, but mostly wrapping their love of XBox in.

But they already dominating this gen.

Infact They have been on top worldwide since PS1.

The PS3 was considered a fail while selling 85 million.

Your just mad because Sony moved past those kiddy cartoony garbage unlike Nintendo.

I want my games to be top notch AAA quality which ms broken games and nintendo kiddy cant provide.

Other than exclusives(which is more a function of being the market leader than anything else), nearly every single thing Sony has done it has taken from its competitors. The PS4 hardware shares far more with Xbox than it does it's own predecessors. (IE x86 based, HDD, PC Standard 3D API compared to proprietary tech). Sony borrowed analog stick from Nintendo, PSN is obviously a clone of XBL, Trophies are a copy of achievements. The ONLY thing I can think of that Sony did first was the dual analog sticks and they can't get the placement of them fixed after all these years. Name me something Sony has done first(ie innovating)
