I though that by reviews. Assassins on PS3 run like garbage, with some huge frame rate drops
Now if you mean 360 can run Crysis fine, yes because Assassins does run great on it, but PS3 would struggle just as it does with Assassins
saolin323
I take it by your ignorance along with your sig that you havnt even played AC on a PS3 it runs EXACTLY the same as on the 360 unless my PS3 is some sort of magical PS3 which strangely eough it isnt. . .
this topic still wins as one of the most stupid on this board. . .

ALL reviews so far that compare them, say PS3 runs like CRAP comparing to 360 version
Here is IGN OWNAGE for the weak PS3
These big open worlds, which are fully interactive, do come at a severe cost on PS3. There is considerable texture pop-in and noticeable framerate issues. Playing back-to-back with the 360 version, it's obvious that Ubisoft did not devote enough resources to the PS3 edition. The framerate is considerably worse, so much so that it begins to affect gameplay in the later levels. You can get through the first two-thirds of Assassin with the framerate being just an annoyance, but it becomes more of an issue for the final third of the missions.
So, what now ? How bad is my "ignorance" in your opinion and how bad is yours ?

well considering you are taking what you claim to know from a review and i have played it on both consoles and actually know that it runs virtually the same on both, i would say your ignorance is completely intact while i am well informed becuase i have actually played it on both. . . but then again i am also not looking at the PS3 or 360 version through fanboy goggles. . .
[QUOTE="DBoCaRnAgE"]PS3 CAN MAX OUT ASSASINS CREED
WHICH MEANS IOT CAN MAX OUT CRYSIS
SINCE CRYSIS SPECS ON PC ARE LOWER THAN ASSASINS CREED's

you should probly think about stopping before you get sigged . . .
yes i want to play Crysis to but i'm doing the smart thing and building a high end gaming computer for myself maybe you should do the same if you are so intent on playing Crysis cos it probably wont come to PS3 and it definately wont look as good just accept it. . .
Are you getting any new peripherals with that rig your saving up for? If so you may want to bump up the budget.PLease GTFO SW forums. You are emabrassing yourself.
Crytek says "you cannot get Crysis as it is on PC on any console. What you would have to do is compromise the design and the level design […] the consoles just offer a memory difference which is the most important statement here – the memory difference in the PS3 and Xbox 360 doesn't allow Crysis – the same on console as it is on PC. In order to make Crysis's gameplay [on console] you would have to make a derivative Crysis and optimize it for the Xbox 360 and PS3. In fact, if we do it, we'll optimize it for each platform." As for the whole Crysis issue, Crysis won't be possible as it is without a lot of memory--something all the current-generation consoles lack. Even on its lowest graphics settings, Crysis all by itself demands well over 600MB of memory--and that's just system memory. Let's not start on the graphics memory. Perhaps that's why the box demands a minimum 1GB.

I would nvr play crysis on a console but if they do optimize it for both what do u think would run it better? The 360 has one block 512 ddr3 it shares for ram and gpu and the ps3 256mb xdr ram and then 256mb ddr3 for the gpu.

Problem is the game cant be 'optimised' to run on either consoles in its current form. You would have to have loading during levels - blocking off entires areas, ramataically reduce the physics and destructible objects, reduce the visual quality and resolution - and a plethora of other things.
If you had good enough deveopment teams then you could have this 'Crysis barstard child - which really isnt Crysis' running equally on either system - depending on how good the coders are for each system in the developement team.

Bad analogy, since we already know it can run (with a few hiccups) on a modified M6502 (now talk about ancient).Any developer could make super mario bros 1 run at PC at specs way beyond anything a pc has today...
The conclusion of that the nes can run Crysis maxed out easily...
Most stupid topic ever?
omgimba
Thing is, the device doesn't exist (yet) that can truly max out Crysis. Most estimates peg Crysis at about a year future-proof.
PS# has 256 megs of system ram, and 256 megs for graphics memory
that means there is not enough memory to run the game, period
crispytheone88
I measured Crysis's RAM usage, And at max settings (no AA/AF) Crysis uses up to 1.3GB of system RAM and 600MB of video RAM.

Mate all i am saying is that he should atleast play it on both consoles before he casts aspersions based on the opinion of someone else and form his own. . . its not like i'm saying disregard the reviewers opinion though they aren't all ways right and example would be saying the orange box for PS3 lags all the time when in actual fact it does not and plays the same on both consoles (360 and PS3). . .
and read through this thread the guy is clearly an anti PS3 Lemming without question. . .
anyway to that guy who told me i should up my budget i think i will be just fine building a descent rig for a little over or under $1,500AUD i already have a monitor and speakers that are of good quality and if i should need more money i'll just save but thanks for your concern. . .
