Turok demo online

impressions?

it's on market place. mine is still downloading, but impressions will follow.

gameplay: shooting dinosaurs in a cave complex and shooting dinosaurs and human enemies outside

graphics: pretty good actually.. no appearent jaggies either

sound: good

Controls: good: knife, gun, dual wielding

Demo value: good. nice level length to try out some stuff

gripes: afraid the game will be repetative if the action is always the same.

demo is good, but if the game is just more of what is in the demo (a.k.a. repetetive as hell), it will flop.

he, he, wel, i wish Xbox live was free to, but i'm happy with it and i don't mind the 14 cents a day really. free would be great, but only if they can garantee the same amount of demos and quality

All I see, as far as demos go, on Live is NFL Tour. I don't see Turok. And I have a Gold account...

Does the game play short 'stabbing cutscenes' every single time you knife an enemy?
That was easily the most annoying part of the gameplay vids.

Anyway, given the series' latest games, there isn't much point getting excited over this.

Are the consol controls are they good? what about the graphics does it have good textures and aliasing? what about the framerate? and things going on at once? are the levels huge?BovinesOnPaska

yep, all good. framerate slowdown.. well, maybe a little bit. level-size.. don't know, it's a demo.. only part of a level...
