I don't know I'm fine with my wii version but TP is up there as one of my favorite zeldas. I wish they remastered Skyward Sword instead.
What is the point to this port exactly?...
TP is ugly as sin that's the point. Unfortunately they didn't do enough to pretty up the graphics.
That's like 10 percent better. What a waste.
Esp when compared to this...
Just wait till you see it in person on a 50+ inch 1080P TV. I remember when Wind Waker HD came out and everyone stated it didnt look that great, boy were they wrong, i put that beast on my big screen and my mind was blown away.
Nintendo is awesome at HD.
@killonsight: "We know there's been a lack of content on the Wii U lately, so here's something to tie you over. Please understand."

Yeah, such a shame that last gen they said:
"HD is not important"
It wasnt, just look at PS4 and Xbox One, they still dont care for HD. They were all like "Fack it, lets release these weak consoles together."

Dang, your name and signature gots me hyped for Cloud and the possibility of Squall coming to Smash Bros Wii U, would be awesome to have the gunblade in action.
It might just come down to the art style, but it looks like they put a lot more effort into Wind Waker HD.
I must be crazy because the blurry mess of the original looks better to me than the HD remake. The blurryness hides the blockyshapes!
Not a big difference... but a great game.
But I've would've personally preferred something like Super Mario Sunshine HD.
@Pikminmaniac: it is the artstyle (though imho the upgraded tech actually hurt the WW artstyle in places.).
it would have been cool to get it looking like the tech demo but thats a complete rebuild and rethink about how the game works. all the tech in TP is built for hardware designed in 1999 so getting it fully upgraded would cost about as much as just making a new zelda.
this looks more like "what can the wii tech do on the wiiu and where is the asset list so we can upgrade everything". its how i remember TP looked because i havent played it in so long. i would be surprised if this is using more than 1 of the CPU cores and the developer is probably just getting the shaders to behave as close to a gamecube GPU as possible...just ramped up by a lot.
compare this to zelda wiiu and its hard to believe they are running on the same system.
it still looks nice enough though imho and its a pretty decent zelda (though i prefer WW).
That's like 10 percent better. What a waste.

lol if anyone believes that that Zelda Wii U demo was running on what ended up being final hardware.
I mean yea it looks better, but only really in textures and resolution, and even then not by much. 3d Models are still all the same and all the lighting as well.
This game isn't Wind Waker whose cell shaded art carries it beyond it's age. TP was a fugly game at launch and even with updated textures it's still rough. They should have done way more to update the graphics and art, especially in the game's geometry and lighting.
No need for it since I have the Wii version.
I prefer playing it with the motion controls.

All I have is the gamepad, wont it be in there too?
I think this HD version will be the gamecube game. So no motion controls, no wiimote.
Looks great in HD, I like old SD games getting the HD treatment makes a huge difference, unlike the last gen ports they're trying to pass off as remasters
This HD remaster looks about as good as most last gen remasters. Ico, jak and daxter, etc etc.

Those games are from 2 gen's ago and were SD and do look great in HD, I'm on about the X360 & PS3 port we're getting
So they've re done pretty much all the textures as they're more detailed and sharper and people saying there's no difference? Are you all blind?
They were able to make Wind Waker look so much better than the original. It looked like a WiiU game visually. This looks like a gamecube port. I mean it's still not as lazy as TLOU and GoW III Remastered though, so it has that going for it.
Once again Nintendo does the very least.
For a company that's gone on record for disliking HD they sure do love releasing shitty ports of bad games.
Nintendo knows the Wii U is about to have the feeding tube pulled but the marks do not see it. As such, this company will put scraps out in order to manipulate certain people into thinking this console si being well supported up until the end.
Yeah, that's pretty lazy, especially compared to the WW treatment. Cool for those who haven't played it though, I guess.

DO NOT TEASE ME. I'd go crazy for an updated mario sunshine.
Would've been great to have that instead of another Zelda I think.
