That's kind of an ugly pic. It looks like it was done on the source engine or something. It's old though, so I'm sure the game looks better now, and it seems that way watching the new trailer. You have to remember though, this game most likely won't come out until 2009.

Did you watch the DX10 video at Jeux-video.com or whatever that site's called? The Island Walkthrough one was in DX9, but the demo at E3 was DX10, and looked absolutely amazing.

The 1st-person Out door moments in that Video looked Stunning. I can only imagine my rig feebly cowering when installing a game of that magnitude.

It really look like a Source game with better lighting. Go look at Dark Messiah, it looks very similar and uses the Source engine. The new trailer looks much better than that pic though.

How many times do I have to repeat my self? As of now, it's only confirmed for the PC by the devs, but they have stated that they are looking into eventaully porting it to next-gen consoles. But as of now, it's PC first.

Those aren't very good vids of the DX9 version. Go to incrysis.com and go to page 16. Click on the "Crytek at GDF07 Videos" link. That's Crysis in DX9, and it looks absolutely amazing.

from what we have seen. Crysis still wins i am afraid, by a fair bit. especially when you take into account the physics and nature of the game.

need to know and see more off prohect offset before we can make final judgement though.

If you don't know why Crysis is technically superior, from what we know, then you shouldn't even make a comment about the graphics of Crysis or anything about it for that matter. Read up, please. I don't feel like explaining this crap 20 times a day.

Yeah "visually", I guess. But Crysis still looks better visually in my opinion, and many others. Project Offset does look amazing though. It's going for a different look it seems like. But why do you care so much about visuals? That's not all that the Crysis does well. It takes a lot of power to run it's amazing physics, advanced AI, huge enviroments, and massive draw distances, while still looking visually awesome. That, is a technical feat. But who knows, Project Offset could also feature this. We have to wait and see. You also have to remember though, that Project Offset will most likely come out in 2009, while Crysis is coming out this year. I wouldn't be surprised if it looked better upon release.

Um because we dont know if the devs are willing to do it thats why. Atleast we know crytek is going to. I dont think many devs have ever even done this before. Yes mods and stuff can inhance visuals but not like this.

Crysis is just one of those games that whenever I see videos or screens, I go "Wheeeeheeheehee!" and clap my hands really fast in amazement.

Duel wield chickens, kids. The three magic words of Crysis. :D
