Still haven't had any problems with AC: Unity, other than A.I. civilians popping in now and again. It's noticeable when the occasional person just appears. or walks by in glorious low res textures. but its certainly not game breaking and it looks stunning. Combat is better than previous outings as well.
Having said that I'll not be getting FC4 for the time being. I found FC3 to be pretty boring, only Vaas was entertaining, and the latter part of the game just had nothing to keep me playing, FC4 doesn't appear to offer anything better.
Pirates seem to be running the game fairly well on PC.
There actually a working crack?
I wouldn't be surprised if Ubisoft is voted as the worst company in America this year by consumers. They're fucking up badly.
Its not on steam people lol.
Only in the UK.
What? Why not?
It was on and people started complaining about the price. they took it off and now its on only Uplay.

No idea lol. It was pulled off Steam for everyone for 24 hours, but that remained for the UK. Perhaps it will come back on the 20th or something.

Meh. Not going to buy it anyway. I may get a copy when I upgrade my machine though. Nvidia FTW.
So, guys. Don't worry about the PC version of Far Cry 4 running like dog shit. It doesn't. Even before the day one patch that is already coming it runs beautifully and has a shit ton of options for everything from fur to ambient occlusion to vegetation quality.
Besides the lack of an in-game FOV slider (which can be adjusted via config file) this seems, so far, like a great port and obviously the best version of the game.
@charizard1605: Far Cry 4 is not much different than 3. slightly better graphics and slightly less appealing characters but not much different that i've seen so far. Far Cry 3 was an awesome game.
AC:UNITY was both. A shitty port but not nearly as bad as the ps4/xbone versions.
hasn't been a shitty port. seems it has problems for some systems but i havent experienced any problems with gameplay running with it's max settings @1080p. also, it's a beautiful game that just happens to be boring as hell. my 3-4 hours playing was mainly just looking around at the scenery. i couldn't tell you anything about what was going on with the story so far.

Source?
No PC gamer should Care about this casual Assassins creed non game disguise as FPS.
are you just really desperate for attention today?
Has ubisoft ever had a strong PC presence? Half the games they release on PC are like ass.
I hate to say it, the only way to play an ubisoft game safely is mostly on a console. Aside from a select few. *Looks at AC unity*
AC series is the only one I have had issues with for Ubisoft.
I always find it stupid that a review embargo exist in the first place. Not that I care about reviews, but I know some people do.
Actually according to some pirates the port is not that bad or at least it's not as bad as unity.
Either way ubisoft is never going to see another cent from me.
Well I'm ready to watch Ubisoft stock take another nosedive.
The least relevant version's review being delayed is unlikely to have any affect on Ubi's stocks.
Terrible port incoming ... or FAR superior version (but that's unlikely) .

Would you like to compare a $400 prebuilt pc's performance in Unity vs the PS 4?

Why would anyone do that?
From all the videos around I'm willing to bet it'll be like 98% of multiplats this gen, so a weaker gpu than PS4 will run the game at the same performance/graphics or better.
I'm getting it day one. They've been working with NVIDIA and it looks sick. Can't go wrong.
Yeah look how Asscreed Parity and Glitch_Dogs turned out what could possibly go wrong.
Neither of which have NVIDIA exclusive features (aside from TXAA which is in everything these days). FC4 is getting a lot of NVIDIA love.
Uh, both games use Nvidia Gameworks.

Uh, only the minimum implementation (TXAA), as I bolded above. Means zilch in their case - other than NVIDIA sponsorship and a measly poor AA features.Games that have a half a dozen NVIDIA-exclusive features obviously got more work done in the PC-end of things compared to games that offer the bare minimum for the NVIDIA sponsorship.

It doesn't matter if the features are exclusive to nvidia, if a game is using gameworks for a specific effect, then the developer is forced to use the proprietary Nvidia code, regardless of what it's used for.
For example, Unity is using Nvidia code for tessellation, code that often the developer isn't even allowed to look at, much less alter.

You love to do black and white comparisons.
Why is the fur only on the wolves back? Doesn't look right.

Looks like you should write angry letters to Eurogamer and DigitalFoundry too. Unity, Farcry 4, DA:I all look and run better on a gaming pc.
Black and white difference indeed.
@masterleaff: It looks better in the release version. That is just an old off-screen image from an Nvidia presentation, work in progress.
Work in progress? How much longer does it take to get the fur over the wolves entire body?

All those games look and run better on a PS 4 than this gaming pc

Why would you pick that PC
