Honestly, i've reached burn out point with the series. Didn't bother playing Revelations or 3. I'm not pumped for 4 either.

I feel the same way, except I was stupid and bought Revelations anyway. They all just feel the same and I don't feel compelled to play any more of them.
Ubisoft Montreal boss Yannis Mallat does not think gamers are turned off by the idea of a new Assassin's Creed game every year.
"The players will tell us. Right now there are more and more coming into the franchise, so I don't see that day."
"It's our breakthrough. When you have quality content, the frequency of coming out with the game is not an issue at all."
"On the contrary, people expect more and more of that content. So it's natural to be able to provide that content. The gamers are happy and it's our job to make them happy."
What a load of sh!t. AC III was far from a quality product.

I agree, ACIII was a huge dissapointment for me as well. I would rather have quality over quantity when it comes to games like this.
I really think this series needs a break and that's coming from someone who enjoyed AC3. I probably won't bother with this years instalment.
Yaaay, bring on the new AC games every year that will feel half assed or more like an expansion pack but cost the same old $60.Â
Can't wait.Â
I don't.
I like the series but at this rate it's going to be drilled into the ground and forgotten. ACIII would have been much better with longer development.
I blame u guys. AC has been crap since the very first one but u keep buying more and more...shame on u!II_Seraphim_IIThe first one was crap and the second was a major improvement...possibly the most improved sequel i've played.
>AC sells buckets
>AC does well for them year after year
>Ubisoft is crazy for using the line "Gamers want Ass Creed every year"
Hooray System Wars \o/
Personally would either like Assassin's Creed to stop existing or for them to finally actually make a great game out of that concept, because it sure as f*ck doesn't exist as of right now.
System wars a board where hipsters who claim to care bout the industry dwell and hate on anything with popularity...threads like this prove it to an extent. Who cares if its out every year, if you enjoy it then woo, nobody moaned bout the yearly Harry Potter movies, the next series of a television series etc...why should yearly games get a rap when other forms of media do the exact same its only catering to demand for the product.razgriz_101
Good god you're a f*cking moron.
Everyone knew not only that HP movies would come to an end but also when that end was, and television series don't cost 60$ per episode to watch, IF they cost something at all.

how am i being a moron, the only people on this board that are morons are self entitled eejits iirc your the guy who said music piracy isnt a problem to bands so why in gods honesty would i take you seriously.
If the demands there and people are buying it then it will continue, also harry potter's had its offshoots and side stories that could still be explored if one wished.
While i agree AC should have finished with 3, theres demand for it then give the people what they want.Family Guy and Futurama only ever came back because of this.
And pricetag means nothing despite the fact your attempting to use it as an arguement, simple economics on the other hand will argue if its selling well and people are buying it at £40 a pop every year and the sales are staying rock steady and its profitable why dump it because of a few whiny eejits on an internet forum.
Its a case of supply and demand, although you the moron in the case dont seem to have picked up the context in which i wrote my post in, the irony of you calling me a moron is nothing short of fantastic when you seem to have the inabilty to grasp basic supply and demand.
So can I assume that each fall Ubisoft sends a grim man to your house who threatens to kill you unless you buy new Assassin's Creed? If so then indeed I can see why you're so outragedÂ

Gamers will buy anything that's half decent on an annual basis... hell it doesn't even need to be half decent tbh.
The problem is, they will kill their series quickly. Â Do you go for longevity, or run it into the ground while you know the attention is there?
Not every series can be CoD and this wouldn't be the first time UBI nearly ran something into the ground with frequent releases.

If so then indeed I can see why you're so outraged he's just silly, he couldnt even provide a half baked arguement in a topic a while ago on my stance bout piracy and that its a major reason why media industries have become so reliant on safe bets. Was just essentially a lol butthurt because your not good enough etc with a very idiotic arguement that piracy didnt affect the industry yet it has in the lower leagues where bands have become more reliant on other revenue streams due to low income from record sales because i used that industry as an example on why piracy needs to just bloody die.[QUOTE="N30F3N1X"]

would rather they pull through on beyond good and evil 2....but sure, keep pumping out more AC games...maybe they'll end up going the way of guitar hero.verbalfilthAnd that will either enter MML3 or DNF territory.
