Ubisoft is the most overrated company ever

Seriously do they even know how to make a fun game? Tom Clancy games are realistic to the point where they are no fun to play. Brothers in Arms sucks. Assassin's Creed had potential but they screwed that up. And Far Cry 2 looks meh. Great graphics but the campaign vids look really dull.

Why does this company always get so much praise? They go for realism over fun which is NOT what makes good games. If I wanted a overly realistic shooter I'd go join the real army.

They fool you once, shame on you. They fool you twice, shame on you.

Anyways, I only praise Ubi for their action/adventure games, which always live up to my hype. I can't wait for Prince of Persia! :)

Some people like some things and others don't, live with it.

Besides I think the last time Ubisoft made a realistic game was with Rainbow Six Raven Shield, which was awesome btw, unlike the modern R6. Ugh.

Because Rainbow 6, Ghost Recon, and Splinter Cell are awesome, well actually Rainbow 6 and Vegas 1/2, Ghost Recon 2 and GRAW 1 and 2, and then Splinter Cell 1 and 3.

The Tom Clancy games were alright (RB6 and Splinter Cell, hated GR), Far Cry 2 looks promissing, and Assasins Creed was as boring as taking a dump.

Overall I do think Ubisoft could do better than what they have been doing these last couple years but they are certainly not the most overrated game company ever. (that belongs to bungie)

I disagree. This game is old but Sands of Time was a really great game in both gameplay, story and story execution. They made that game so I can't ever say they are over rated. I don't play their other titles but do they have a high number of AAA and AA titles in their collection?

All they used to be was a company who made good mario, zelda and metroid games. Now they are a company that makes high qualty mario, zelda, smash brother, animal crossing, pikmin, etc, etc, ad nauseum etc. Nintendo haters baffle me. They say current Nintendo is bad yet most current gen Nintendo games are AAA or higher on metacritic/game rankings. The lowest ones are like AA. Since when is a library thats exclusively AA+ material the mark of a bad developer?

Epic only makes two games in one genre and one of them is fail, yet nobody beats them over the head.

Konami makes like one good game every 5 years but people don't bash them.

Nintendo makes like multiple AA and AAA titles every year and they are heralded as the scum of the Earth.

GRAW is great, and I don't see Ubisoft being greedy scum buying out any developer they can. In the past year, EA has scooped up Pandemic and Bio-ware, and then tried to buy-out Take-Two for a while. Ubisoft is a more respectable company, even if they do milk the hell out of Rainbow Six and a few other series.

i dont think tom clancy sucks because of too much realism, whilst the game its pretty slow and boring it is not too realistic, games such as red orchestra are more realistic yet still fun to play.
