You mention GTA V and other "games" what does that have to do with Ubisoft.

the argument was made that games don't sell that well on PC, that was my point

Ok show me sales for all pc games and from what I read you originally stated most of ubisoft sales on pc were from steam sales and humble bundle when you didn't bring any evidence on that and Gar tried to make a point by doing the samething you did.

i didn't make the claim of all pc games, but the norm is that games on console sell better. Just look at the OP

PC had more sales than the xbox and is only slightly below the ps4.

Ok this is starting to derail the thread. And he hasn't back up what he originally said concerning the Ubisoft pc sales. If we are going to get off topic might has well mention how 40% of dark souls sales were from PC a franchise that came out two year for it after console release with DSII sales going head to head with the PS3.

Interesting I heard it might have surpassed the ps3 sales if it wasn't for the japanese sales

I'd imagine super cheap Steam sales and Humble Bundles really helped the PC market share here.

i can't imagine anything else doing it. PC gamers usually don't spend a lot of money on games

1. The OP graph shows PC beat out every console except PS4, and that was a small margin. This is incredible given Ubisoft being mostly console game focused with meh PC ports.

2. PC gamers spend the most on gaming, as PC has more gaming revenue than all 6 consoles combined at the moment. (Not including web/social games).

Try educating yourself before lying, 2nd place warrior.

Oh and in before the goal post move, opinions, and uncited theories.

Nice numbers for PC. Especially considerin that Ubi didn't release any PC exclusives in that period and those usually do very well. Plus it's not even counting their pretty big F2P division. Revenues wise PC is probably their no.1 platform right now.

@The_Last_Ride Well you missed my point entirely. What I'm saying is that you should back statements made as fact with evidence. Without any it's all opinion and conjecture.

A couple of points though,

Where does day one sales come into anything in this thread? It's about Ubisoft overall sales not day one.

As for PC gamers not buying games, PC game software revenues are higher than all consoles combined. Cherry picking certain types of games will not change that fact (@-God- has already provided one source of evidence above) regardless of how you change the criteria.

I buy 2 to 3 new games a month (not any kind of fixed precurment quota). For instance this month I've bought Mad Max and Sattelite Reign, I also got MGSV but that came free with the £550 Graphics card, I bought last month. I may not have paid £50 for them (thanks to key sites) but I certainly buy a higher volume of games than your average console gamer. I also buy Ubisoft games.

Well if you want to make it a fair fight, PC consoles have been out since the dawn of time. So if you put all consoles together they blow pc out of the water in sales.

Lol who cares about sales unless you own stock in the companies in question.

Only thing that matters for the general consumers is quality and price.

PC completely demolishes both consoles in both. Better graphics? Check. Better prices? Check. Various control options? Check.

PS4 can carry PC's jockstrap.

PC has more gaming revenue than all 6 consoles combined for 2 years now, and since 2011 it has been easily beating any one system.

Are you being satirical or.....what is your ulterior motive for these lies?

@The_Last_Ride: One company does not represent the entire industry, I could just as easily post a Sega financial report saying PC generated more income for them than consoles or maybe a Valve financial report that shows most of it's $3 billion income comes from PC. Or perhaps one from ND that shows PS4, maybe a Turn 10 financial report showing Xbox One would suit you better? They'd all be just as meaningless as the others.

Show us something that shows consoles have generated more revenue than PC ever, as you claimed.

@-God-: Yes again... Games sell better on consoles. We already established PC revenue is mostly from microtransaction and monthly subscriptions.

1. You are assuming no on would have bought those F2P games if they used P2P payment modles instead. I'll need a link for that wild assumption.

2. Show me proof that PS4 has higher overall worldwide P2P revenue over PC, if you're going to make such a claim. I'll need a link directly showing the P2P of both PC and PS4 of 2014 or 2015. Until you provide citation of PS4 and PC's p2p we can only know what we are shown, which is:

3. PC has a much higher gaming sales than PS4.

How does the mere payment model water down how the company is earning revenue?

If the company is making more sales and getting a wider audience from going F2P rather than B2P on the sequel of the same franchise, why would one assume PC is not "selling" games? Aren't you just arguing semantics at that point? IT is just a payment model.

What kind of bizarre fictional arguments are the Cows regurgitating these days?

Being able to get second place (with a short gap from first) in the anti-PC Ubisoft of all places really helps enforce and explain how PC has more overall revenue than all others systems combined.

screw ubisoft and other devs...none of them make PC exclusive games that maximize pc performance, instead they just make console ports, up the resolution, dont give 2 shits about optimization and then watch pc gamers with double/triple card setups struggle to run games.
