The Division will be always-online, because this is how the game is designed. Its a world thats always on and always living. The fact youre always-online is a must. Its the same for The Crew. You can join your friends or not, but something is happening in this world all the time

Trend or not i'm okay with that.

If they can give me good value for being online i will, althou if we don't have a single player campaign and the game's multiplayer doesn't work that well it can backfire on them, so basically as long as they do it right i see no problem.

Dota2 is always online (well at least the modes i play) and i have no problem with that, if this is the solution to the used games issue i see no wrong with it.

I have a feeling that Assassins Creed, Far Cry, and Watch Dogs are going to start having "Changing worlds" pretty soon.

Same, I very rarely play MP, so neither of these two interests me. If I get in the mood for some MP, will probably go with BF4 or Titanfall, the MMO genre is simply not my kind of thing...

Is piracy on consoles really this bad? I thought it was only a very small %.

Yo dawg we heard you don't like online DRM on your games so we disigned the game to be always online by design so you won't have DRM. Like an MMO, except it won't be on the PC where an MMO will thrive and sell a shitton of copies. Because.. Ubisoft.

They look pretty massive to me. Unless large player count and large multiple game play maps aren't massive?

I don't mind invidiual titles doing this. Me and some buds are all planning on getting The Division for PS4 and having a blast

As much as I see the issue with always-online, i'm not overly worried.
