I don't mind Always Online in a single game if it actually adds to the game like it will in The Division. What was shown in the demo would not be possible offline. An Always Online Console is different. It's just a d!ck way to combat piracy.

This is unfortunate. If these guys want to take multiplayer inspiration from Demon/Dark Souls, then do it right and allow offline options as well.

I knew they would be.

Welcome to anti-piracy 2.0. Persistent worlds.

MGS 5 should follow, imagine a constant realtime warzone.

I see nothing wrong with an online game being always online...  what did people expect?  You have to be online to enjoy what this game has to offer.  Its not just a single player game that forces you to be connected.

Still not interested in the game, but this is a silly thing to complain about.

Does that mean you have to check in every 24 hours if you want to play these games every day?

I already knew the Division was multiplayer only and The Crew doesn't look all that interesting so I don't care if it is always online or not.

It's genre specific. Also, there's no single player mode. SP requiring always online is a no-no for me.

Shut the f*ck up, the game is online only for a reason you muppet.

There is no single-player, it's supposed to be a persistent online world. And what the hell do you care about people who don't have internet? You clearly do, so I don't see why you're having a tantrum about it...

Some people will just piss and moan for the sake of it.

Actually the game is fully playable solo. http://blog.ubi.com/the-division-classless-characters-second-screens-mid-crisis-world-e3-2013/

That's good to hear, but I have a decent internet connection, so that doesn't bother me.

Don't have a problem with always online games.  I actually think it may make gaming more enjoyable.

For multiplayer maybe, single player absolutely not. Think about the lag and lack of control over your game.

Thats sucks for all those people who couldn't buy an XOne because either:

a) they go camping every day

b) get struck by hurricanes

c) can't pay their internet bill and it gets cut off

Apparantly all this is very common.
