Coming from someone who loved the first two Metro games, I'm not sold on Exodus. If they did an actual gameplay trailer I'd be sold but if you're gonna do it with a none gameplay trailer and say its open world showing scripted events just doesnt do it for me.

If I recall other posters saying..... Metro: Exodus have people from both the STALKER and Metro series doing the work. I liked STALKER: Call of Pripyat. It's almost like an RPG in its details. In fact, I refer to it as an RPG with guns. But, its atmosphere isn't as convincing as the Metro games. The monsters are quite lackluster. The Metro games definitely have the atmosphere, but are way too linear and scripted. The Metro games are also way too short.

If Metro: Exodus combines the two, it'll be one hell of a game.

Seriously, the best conference in this year so far and their best E3 conference yet.

Every game they've shown look outstanding and Far Cry 5 gonna win the E3 best game.

I agree; however, the bar was set much lower than I have ever seen it. They could have just taken a dump on a plate and then dropped the mic, and It would have tied Sony's.

There are female cult members? Cool. I get to kill em too. ;)

Still no Native-Americans though. Probably won't be because it's Ubisoft-Montreal's version of Montana. Totally fictional.

Reading around...... Everything on the map should be accessible from the very beginning. I guess no more fog of war and towers to climb. Those are gone. Everything revolves around liberating towns which is fine. That's what I would do in the real world....free the county one town at a time.

Kinda like the Reset Outpost mode of Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 4 except in Far Cry 5, the story and campaign are interwoven into it. I'll definitely have fun.

@jun_aka_pekto: The flying looked a lot of fun, but I noticed A LOT of pop-in when he was in an aircraft.

That's okay. Most flight sims have pop-in too unless the surface is mostly a texture map.

Thought it was dreadful, everything was a no risk reskin with no originality.

Not to mention the awful "Ubisoft" s**t that they do every year, stop with the dancing.

What do you mean? The way the SP campaign plays out in Far Cry 5 is already quite different from Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 4.

Not okay when it's so bad it's distracting :/

Personally I enjoyed the flying they showed in The Crew way more.

Not for me. I like flying around in open world games just as a relaxing side activity. One of my best memories of San Andreas was just flying around in different planes: from tiny sports planes to huge aircraft like jumbo jets.

You won't be shooting at people in airplanes all the time in Far Cry 5. Still, I'd like to try out all the different planes in Far Cry 5 and even saw a WW2 plane.

But I'm not convinced about this game as you are. Looks like a deep, deep sale to me.

It was boring as hell, made up of tired franchise sequels and a CGI trailer with a chavvy chimp.

It's the same gameplay in a different, even more non-sensical setting.

"You're trapped, with no means of escap.....oh the national guard just arrived in 20 helicopters, game ends."

Perhaps, it might surprise you to know there are areas in the western US where cellphone coverage is very spotty because of the mountainous terrain. I'm from northern Nevada and there are spots there where AM, FM, even GPS signals die off because of the terrain. Ubisoft obviously exaggerated that part. Ubisoft also saw it fit to not include Native-Americans in a state known for a number of battles during the Indian Wars. At least, none were mentioned so far. But, it's Ubisoft's version of Montana.

A cult taking hold of a town isn't unusual either. Coeur d'Alene, Idaho is an example of a small town still haunted by the influence of the Aryan Nation, even though the latter has since relocated to Florida. Although, the Aryan Nation didn't take over the town by force, visitors who weren't white who passed through there would have felt they were very unwelcome. Today, there are still a few remnants of the white supremacist group even though the locals couldn't care less about them and just wished to be left alone, just like how Ubisoft described the people during their visit to Montana.

If this game has an equivalent to the Reset Outpost mode of previous Far Cry games, I'll be shooting at plenty of targets (not just airplanes). Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 4 both had pop-ins, especially if at a high flight level or traveling very fast while driving a hot rod (mainly with FC3). Flying at tree top height on the gyrocopter in Far Cry 4, the pop-in wasn't too bad.

Anyway, I reexamined the videos and the only pop-ins I noticed were the little trees popping up horizontally across the middle of the screen. There were plenty of them. But, they're not distracting enough to me. I'd probably fly much lower, hugging the tree line so that the pop-ins will occur where I can't see them.

Same reason why I fly low all the time in FC4.

I thought everyone was blah this year, even Ubisoft. If they hadn't dropped Beyond Good and Evil at the end it would have been just as bad as everyone else (actually worse). And god knows when that thing is coming out.

Ubisoft's show sucked. Beyond Good and Evil 2 looked cool until you actually read up on the game and find out they turned it into some shared world online crap. The pirate game they showed will be trash like For Honor. Far Cry 5 looks like another Far Cry. AC Origins looks like another AC.

Only cool game they have is South Park.

Hyped for South Park and that's about it. They showed diverse things which is always good. Don't like the dance performances though, that's gotta go.

They don't even show gameplay of Just Dance at this point.

I get your points but this setting is never going to make sense. It's dumb even by fictional standards.

It's a game. 99% of all games have content in them that don't make sense unless you're playing a flight sim or something.

Yes but good games set out their own rules and then play by them. Whether that's fighting aliens in Xcom, finding your way to the next objective in prey or actually being stranded in FC3.

This game tells you you're trapped and can't get out of the area. Then gives you a plane.....then still maintains you're trapped.....dumb.

Jason could have left the islands early in Far Cry 3 because of access to jet skis and boats not too far into the game. But, he had a higher purpose to free his friends and brother. Of course, I actually tried leaving and all I got were the invisible wall and countdown. In Prey, they could've just nuked the space station and get it over with. But, there was a higher purpose in keeping it intact.

The deputy sheriff in Far Cry 5 could have tuck tail and left. But, he had a higher purpose in freeing the county.
