Ugh...Seems every PC game is filled with cheaters.

It’s riddled - By what definition? What is the bar? who set it? 1.54% does not fit the definition.

If PS4 had as many cheats do you think they would be on here defending it with bu..but it’s only a % of players? - Mixing me up with someone else? I never made this argument.

No Xbox and PS4 gamers would be messaging Sony and ms complaining about the spoiled online experience - Mixing me up with someone else? I never made this argument.

If you accept and defend cheats your just as bad! - Mixing me up with someone else? I never made this argument.

Do you have anything concrete either? I'l give the first response a chance, but based on the above - flakey self-defined definition, making up narratives and putting words in my mouth.

I would openly and happily admit cheating is a bigger issue on PC.

I am debating the extent of the exaggeration both your group and the op have displayed.

Now that I think about it though, given the OPs lack of responses, its clear at least one of you is likely him, given the tantrum he pulled in another thread for being reported for insulting people. That actually makes a lot of sense. Ultimately it doesn't matter though, if none of you alts can provide anything beyond sensationalism then we are done.

Calling posters alts is sensationalist of your own views, it is used to bring others down, it is to verify yourself as superior.

Fruitless en-devour.

If a bank account hacker was taking 1.5% of you weekly Salery would you just shrug it off as meh it’s a small percent so i’ll Accept it he’ll i’ll Even defend it because its only a small percent of my hard earned cash

my console references, I’m pointing out we wouldn’t Accept hacking on online games yet there are plenty here who defend and deny it’s a problem on pc because it their chosen platform

That comparison is ridiculous. And nobody has defended cheating here, you are making a big assumption there.

I don't know what you lot's end-game here is, I don't see anyone denying its existence or it being an annoying problem, only people are pointing out the ridiculous exaggeration by consolites in a desperate attempt to win console war points, which on this topic, yes consoles get browny points, congratulations!.. have to win sometimes.

At the end of the day, on open platforms any client side interaction is exploitable. The cost of getting caught is lower with individual services. E.g if your caught on PSN you get banned from your games.... its a good deterrent, if not little heavy handed. If VALVE actually gave a damn they could do the same. But hey, we are getting closer to the streaming utopia where all ownership goes out the window and we can't cheat, congrats... I guess.

So back to the original point though, 1.54% is not riddled, its highly affected by region, so weak analogies and again more assumptions we are no closer to getting any empirical outcome where "PC Gaming is absolutely riddled with hackers".

Your acceptance is not needed to verify the fact

If you think 770k banned in 1 game is not a huge amount then cheats will prosper with head buriers like you

But hey crack on and enjoy your online gaming

MW3 was my latest, being honest i never found a cheater but i did meet a lot of rager's, the forums are riddled with posts about cheaters so clearly there are cheaters even if i never met any in my small amount i played.

CSGO forums riddled with cheaters, people banned, accusations, people shaming cheaters.

Its a clickbait thread but its true. I myself used those bot for pc games then. Mind you I stopped for online but I admit I used them. (Still uses them for offline games)

I used to always cheat on pc, online or offline I take advantage of every single exploit I can on pc. If its offline, I use it to finish my game faster and if its online I use it for a few match till I get bored. True story, I just see no reason not to when cheating is so rampant on pc. I used to play CSGO and everyone uses those aimbot or the position reveal cheat its infuriating to play honest, especially prevalent when you enter mid tiers. Fuk those people to hell for forcing me to cheat as well.

On the other hand I always takes my time on console games. Probably because I appreciate the added values of trophies, I love collecting them. Also you need a hacked console for editing savestates, I like to support console devs so no cheating for me on consoles. Spent over 200+ hours platinuming DS1 to DS3, really worth the effort on console when I see the platinum trophy pops up.

It’s one of the biggest reasons why PC gaming sucks and servers are empty for everything.

Have you tried playing CoD on PC? LOL

There're servers full of players 24/7 for every CoD game on PC, which can't be said about consoles. You literally couldn't pick a better example to completely and utterly own yourself.

@superfluousreal said:
Those who don't notice or care, are not trying to be good at a game in the first place and typically have no clue what a cheater looks like unless they full on rage mode and destroy an entire server with aimbot / spinbot.

People who are actually good at the game are the last ones to call hacks because they know what a good player is capable of. It's Dunning-Krueger losers like yourself that think themselves the highest bar of human capabilities, therefore anyone that beats you is a certain cheater.

Did exactly that last month after 2 years break. Won the match playing with a wrong mouse sens, got called a cheater and VAC-reported by the entire team of your mental brethren. Wouldn't surprise me if they'd made a thread about it on that dumpster fire witchhunt subreddit you're plugging here.

I would sooner spend an eternity in games full of cheaters on PC, than a single second in a legit game on console.

Thankfully the above is not an issue, contrary to the topic creator's opinion, and I can have the best of both worlds; best platform to game on, and the best online communities to be had in gaming.

Of course I wouldn't shrug it off, but we are not discussing my livelihood, we are discussing my hobby.

Poor comparison, try again.

Also, no one is shrugging it off; people complain, developers create anti-cheat software.

So, nice try bud.

Compare the number of cheaters vs the insanely high number of overall players for PC, the prevalence of cheaters an individual gamer will come across isn't that high. I haven't seen a cheater in almost a year.

The only people denying it are pc gamers who won’t accept it because they know it makes online pc gaming in general a joke

I watch a lot of dr disrespect and co streams and there is always hackers in every stream

Give me console gaming on an even playing field over a pc cheat fest any day!

Hello 2019 anti-PC alts or payed Sony trolls, (For some reason every 2018-2019 fresh account instantly goes to SW and trashes PC, hmm....)

1. PC online is not only still "viable", but the most popular form online gaming compared to XBL, PSN, or Nintendo. By exponential margins. Apparently cheating doesn't really deter most people from playing PC as the most popular platform.

2. PC online is the mainstay of competitive and/or e-sports gaming, by exponential margins. Apparently a small % of hackers is not enough to alter this fact. If cheating was bad as you say, PC would not be the bastion of competitive and/or e-sports gaming. It just doesn't work that way.

(1+2 Is the reason there are so many cheaters btw. If PS4 had a fraction of the competitive games and gamers, you would see far more cheaters. But it doesn't, since it's a forgotten casual dump.)

3. If a few hackers makes you go to the system with fumble stick in shooters, low fps/gfx in mp, almost no competitive games, a fraction of the aaa/aa online games, then I don't know what to say. Especially when those systems have cheaters too. It's like changing from your Ferrari to your Civic because it has a less chance of being stolen and/or is cheaper to repair. Cheater ruins your experience once so you go to a system with a constantly much worse ruined experience, makes sense!

PC has the best online, by large large margins. I honestly don't believe anyone saying they changed to PS fucking 4's joke of an online (LMAO) because of a few hackers. Almost everyone posting they switched is either a new account or known trolls. The only question is if you're angry alts or payed Sony trolls.

Fucking Annihilated.

Also AJstyles makes no god damn sense, one PC game alone has more players than PSN or XBL. PC has dozens of more actively and highly played games than any single console. What the hell is he talking about empty servers for everything? PC is currently the main online platform on Earth with by far the most players and games, competitive or not. Esports or not.

I don't get why these people are lying so hard ITT. Whats the point? They think they are going to make a dent lol.

I'm terrible at fighters. Lol, I think I'd actually be flattered if someone felt they had to cheat to beat me. AFAIC, The win was yours where it really counts.

Are the lag spikes a common problem? Could be cheating, but maybe it was just a network issue or something. Why not go back to playing on PS4 if that works best for you.

Yeah cheaters suck and definitely ruin any game. I don’t know how bad it is on PC though because I don’t game on the PC nor do I have any interest to do so. I would imagine that it could be pretty bad due to the open nature of the platform though.

You don't game on PC, hence you have no idea if cheating is an issue or not.

@R4gn4r0k: Dude I don't know how old are you but chances are that I was playing in PC before you were borne. Plus I have some basic programming knowledge and am married with a senior software engineer. Your idea that software security can only be broken if the programmer wants it to it's beyond ridiculous, and probably one of the most silly things anyone said in this forum.

Don't get why is it so difficult to just admit what's so obvious. Just because that particular aspect sucks on PC doesn't negate superiority in other areas.

I can confirm that us PC gamers are all master coders. We just hack the games and cheat every match. The trick is to hack more hardcore than the hackers on the other team so that you win.

The Matrix taught me computer programming.

Yeah, I mean I know that's the whole reason I play online. Not to experience the game, but to competitively hack with other hackers/cheaters. I thought everyone knew this.

I don't even see the code anymore, just blonde noobs, redhead noobs, brunette noobs...

Yeah, I suppose if you are used to the clumsy, sloppy, outdated controller the precision and speed of the timeless M+KB (along with the dozens of other things you can use) on PC would seem like hacks. Or magic!

Movie games just enforce this because they simply require "move thumbsticks in circular motion to wash dishes" inputs. No skill, no real thinking.

Console gamers love being told what to do and how to do it. Poor bastards...

FYI the first “fake news” I brought to the table about PC gaming had a link and stats or something of the sort. I don’t remember it exactly but I remember most of what I posted early on was backed up with citing things.

It’s funny how I’ve gotten under the skin of some of the hermits enough to where they remember more about my first post yet selectively forget I cited links or whatever.

@zaryia: you want to talk about fake news?

There’s reports of cheaters and hackers getting banned by the hundreds of thousands if not more in all sorts of games and yet you have people in this very thread saying “dur, been playing on PC for 40 years and never came aross a cheater”

Seriously?

@XVision84: that’s a nice way to try and detour the point but we all know you can just buy hacks from sites etc.

You don’t have to be Neo.

Let’s take a look at that kid caught cheating and supposedly selling cheats in Fortnite as evidence.

You know the one where Epic wanted to sue the kid bc cheating on PC is so rampant that they’re going for legal action.

No insignificant thing anymore....it’s widespread.

How do you wake up every day and still think posting garbage in a niche subforum is going to make your weak financial situation fix itself?

I’m a PC user but some of my fellow hermits are in complete denial. Every few years Blizzard will show just how many hackers there are by banning several thousand Bnet gamers in one day. I remember back in SC1 days Blizzard banned like 20k people in one day for maphacking.

It’s way more common than you think. People are playing 2 games. Legit gamers are trying to rack up the highest score and nonlegit cheaters are effortlessly getting the high score while playing a different game of trying to avoid detection.

And when there is no mass appeal to ban hackers and bots, the game eventually becomes overrun by them. Diablo 2 even in its hayday was dominated by rune-setted teleporting hammerdin bots. Overwatch just banned like 20k people from South Korean servers for aimbotting.

PC online gaming is a dumpster fire.

@that_old_guy: You hear about murders happening on the news all the time. It was just yesterday some guy got caught and it was all over the news.

Yet the hypocrites in this thread, "dur been living for 40 years and never met a murderer" Everybody knows that crime is so rampant you can't walk outside without coming face to face with a serial killer.

Don't play online FPS anymore, not worth the hassle.

Alot of them are shitty pay2win grind-fests anyways.

CS and Overwatch are not P2W.

Lootbox extravaganza.

Skins, skins, skins

No thanks, bro.

You said P2W please don't goal post move.

You said "Filled with". You lied, as a majority of PC gamers do not hack. Not even 50%. It's a small number statistically.

100s of thousands vs 100s of millions of gamers.

A drop in the pond. Of course I come across the odd cheaters once or two times a year, but that is just not enough for it to make me go to a significantly worse online of PSN or XBL. There is a reason the people saying they switched are all fresh alts.

I am not in denial. We all accept PC has hackers, and certainly more than XBL or PSN. It's pretty much PC's only CON in a heaven of PROS that obliterate consoles overall. But we are explaining why it has more and that it isn't as common as the some of these fresh alts are making it out to be. Those numbers you are putting up are literal drops in the pond, and it's no mystery why PC gamers say they barely encounter hackers. 20k Is nothing when the game has dozens of millions of players. Yes it is a slight problem, but enough of a problem to go to the exponentially worse console online? Hell no.

Get a grip bro.

All I said was that there is software out there to stop cheating. You make it out like it's such a big deal. I'm providing evidence to the contrary.

Get a grip please, I never asked for your life story. I'm saying it's pretty obvious you aren't a PC gamer. Or do you still game on PC?

Some people are so desperate to defend their machines, it's really fun to watch ????

Some people are so desperate to bash PC being 1st place for online that they spam threads with fresh alts, it's really fun to watch ????

It is indeed fun to read me factually dismantle these alts and destroy the fanboys.

Hackers galore

It's not hackers galore or filled with cheaters. There's many, but it's not even close to the majority. This is statistically proven.

PC is first place for online gaming, deal with it.

@R4gn4r0k: Last game I've played was the Witcher 3, so it's been some time now. But I've been playing on PC for more than 30 years. And I read news.

My analogy with locks is actually spot on. You make a lock someone will brake that lock, then you improve your lock and again someone will find a new way of braking it. Exact same thing for digital. That's why I think what you've said makes no sense.

Next time I'll just say "no way bro, go to your basement hermit" or "All hail PC master race". Don't want to bother you.

Don't get why you instantly become so defensive and can't have a normal conversation.

You do what you have to do, dude.

The insecurity PC brings out of console kids is something to behold.
