Going back to the first GT on PS1, I spent countless hours with GT series.

You owe it to yourself if you are a Racing Sim fan to get the game ( rent or buy ) and find out just how good Forza 2 really is.

If you know GT then you know you will have to put alot of time into the game before you really start to see the beauty of the spectacular racing sim.

I owe it to myself to buy an Xbox 360 and buy Forza 2? I owe it to myself to belt out $460 to prove you right? No, I owe it to myself to maybe TRY the game if I ever get the opportunity, which I would like to do. I said earlier that if I owned a 360, I'd buy this game. Still, I would not buy a 360 when I've got GT sitting ahead of me as it is. I made a big investment with the Playstation.

Again, not saying Forza 2 is a bad game. I would never do that, seeing as I haven't even touched it and that'd be stupid to say to someone who obviously likes the game that much.

Actually, I have debated. This is why I'm about to prove you wrong.

Debates revolve around infrastructure, not around specific inherent limitations. As long as you're being topical and addressing the question as per your standpoint, you can essentially say anything valid to support your position.

Example of a rule in debate: you must define your key concepts prior to debating, and you must take a position to the resolution.

This is not a debate forum, at any rate, seeing as no one has to take a position to the resolution, there are typically no formal resolutions at all, and no one would possibly take the time to define key concepts. Example: people being flamed out of a thread for being a noob, being uneducated, not linking, or something else along those lines.

There are no formal definitions. The "Gamespot fiat" does not exist. If it does, show me. Show me the sticky that says "only Gamespot scores count, guys, as per the debate rules."

At any rate, proof/evidence cannot be regarded as a definition in and of itself. It can only be regarded as proof, and, as thus, is only as limited as its credibility. And, seeing as, for the reasons outlined in my earlier post, average scores are ultimately more credible than Gamespot scores, the "Gamespot fiat" is most certainly wrong.

Wanna try and prove me wrong on some baseless accusation again? Certainly I've never debated.

I was as disappointed as anyone, seeing as I was contemplating purchasing a Wii at that particular moment (in fact, I believe I stood in line in front of a local EB games waiting for one). That is, I was disappointed until I read the 10/10 in Game Informer and the 8.8 suddenly didn't hold nearly as much water.

I'll say it again. Average scores>Gamespot scores.

This is the only mention I found of the "Gamespot fiat" on the stickies. Doesn't work for me. The Gamespot fiat is illogical, and average review scores are more reasonable overall, for obvious reasons I've outlined earlier.

Not to say that we can't refer to a specific review score or the content of a specific review.

I did find definitions on the stickies, as well. However, I don't remember agreeing to them. They were posted by users. I don't remember agreeing to them at the door.

I play Neverwinter Nights 2, Oblivion (PC), Dark Crusade, Red Orchestra, Quake 4 (PC), Battlefield 2, Counter Strike Source, Half Life 2, Company of Heroes, and Warcraft 3 regularly.

I also considered buying an Xbox 360 until I played Call of Duty 2 and Perfect Dark Zero on the console. I also considered buying a Wii and a DS until I couldn't find one in any local store. I simply bought a Playstation 3. Doesn't mean a whole lot.

The Xbox 360 is a great console. There, I said it. The Wii has some issues (third party software), but it's a great idea, and I was totally sold until I gave up my search.

What is there to discuss? Forza 2 is teh amazing!! Seriously. Look at my face :| I love that game with a passion.musicalmac
