It's only a bad thing if Production Team 1 screws this one up as well. Off topic like the design for Lighting in that image.

Yes it did, sometimes fan service isn't always best. Look on the bright side though X-2 had a great battle system and the dress sphere system was good.square is bad with sequels...
FFX-2 ruined FFX's ending quite bad.

Seriously.....I enjoyed FFX a lot, but ever since FFX-2 came out, I felt like the best thing about FFX(the ending) was pretty much a waste. FFX-2 battle system is my favorite in the series by far though.[QUOTE="PiGsCaNFIy"]

[QUOTE="Luxen90"] Hm, did I forget already? Remind me what was wrong with Hope.finalfantasy94
Hope was pretty bad in the English ver, cuz his VA failed to execute his character properly. But Snowe was just a bad character all around.
Yea I dont get this at all. I didint feel hope VA messed anything up. They way he reacted and looked matched the voice. I dont know why snow was a bad character. Hes the geniral never give up character and keep pushing forward with a hint of being naive since nothing is never really that easy. Thats how I see it at least.
The original Hope and the English Hope have entirely different feels to them. The English hope has no range.
I liked snow im even rocking his gear lol but he was pretty cool. Vanille was really the only annoying one.[QUOTE="bigboss5ak"][QUOTE="Ragnarok1051"] I didn't mind Hope at all. Snow was the only character that I wished would fall off a cliff. Ziek-AAT
Snow was an awful character, I wanted to kill myself everytime he yelled "SERAH!"
And I don't understand the Vanille hate, she's your typical perky FF girl, just like Rikku and Yuffie for example...
Vanille was no where near as cool as yuffie, yuffie was a great character because she came off as a clutz that made you laugh plus she was useful in battle. Vanille seems to be there just to be there i whish they made her more like aeris than maybe i could have taken her a bit serious.I would be interested if it releases. I would like to be able to explore pulse. The characters could be expanded more perhaps new characters could be added.
A direct sequel to FFXIII could be good. FFXIII was a good game, just needed more content other than the cieth stone missions (which weren't bad, but had too much backtracking), and in the next sequel make sure to flesh out the story and characters more. Just do this and have the same excellent production values and it could be a terrific game.
Maybe they could also add more classes, and have a GOOD weapon upgrade system.

Pretty much or give her a bigger role or somthing to make her not seem so useless

Not only did i finish it i got all trophies for it. And sure ill admit she was useful in some major battles with her sabertour role with death and her healing. But story wise she just came off useless to me.Well, I don't really see the series going anywhere better any time soon anyways.:P
Well , just to tease a lil bit I'll just say that her fate insn't different from the others'.
And I'd love a FFXIII-2 , I mean, it ended just when it was becoming good , thankfuly there had a lot of side missions to do...but I want more , a DLC maybe? Also the logic behind FFX-2 being trash therefore any direct sequel being trash is irrational.Crisis Core ,even though it was a prequel , was great. And I'm sure they wouldn't do such an obnoxious thing again.

Come on SE, it's just getting sad. I know you spent all your money and time building the engine for FFXIII (for some reason) but that doesn't mean the only thing you can donow is just make more of the same.
They know a lot of people were unhappy with it and yet they're still gonna go for the cash in. Since they spent all those resources making the original and it didn't sell or rate quite as well as plannedthey probably willmake a direct sequeljust because it would be moreprofitable. Keep on diggin that hole deeper.
To be honest I'd be fine with a FFXIII-2 save for one reason: Square-Enix needs to focus on current projects. Sure, Square-Enix is a big company with loads of resources and a bunch of different studios that work on different projects. But you look at FFXIII and the FFVSXIII team, which also does Kingdom Hearts titles, was pulled to help with the original since that wasn't going so well. So development on Versus got pushed back. Well what will happen if things don't go right with Versus? Development on XIII-2 will stop and it'll be longer till we get that.
Square-Enix needs to stop announcing stuff and remaking games and focus on what projects they already have. They are losing fans by announcing a game in 2006 and still having hardly any information for the game by 2011. There was a time when FFVSXIII was my most anticipated title but now its getting to the point of me not caring for it.
Maybe that was a long rant for something that doesn't matter. A lot of the resources are already there for the game and I've read articles with the developers saying that they have enough quests and stuff for an entirely new game already. Regardless, they could announce it tomorrow and I doubt we'd see it till early 2013.
Like many people, I'm disappointed with Square-Enix this gen and although I'd be excited to see what problems they could fix with a second game, I don't care about the reasoning the company has.

Well said.
ruined ending for mereachrocksmanFor the record, thats not the ending. There is nothing spoiled here, move along. ''Remember Lightning'' doesn't mean that she...you know...the developers wanted to put out a message like, ''Remember FF13.'' where Lightning stands for FF13...get it?
if it is a team up wiht Lightning and Sazh going around killing characters from XIII then I am 100% in
This. :P But seriously.. why make me remember, why not remember a different FF and not this one? :cry:if it is a team up wiht Lightning and Sazh going around killing characters from XIII then I am 100% in
