On system wars it seems like people don't value anything below a 9. But I want to know what is a good score to you personally? I say 7

Outside of system wars I don't judge games by a numerical value. But if I was choosing between games to buy using Gamespot, 7.0.

Back by GameSpot's older standards (prior to the .5 increments and their current batch of reviewers), a solid 7 would be enough for me to purchase a game if I had an interest in it.

I don't care what the score is and it doesn't effect my purchases. If I can have fun with it then it was worth buying, and generally some of the lower rated games have provided hugely fun experiences. Gauntlet Dark Legacy (5.1) is a prime example of what can be an epic multiplayer experience with 4 players. I'll just go with 5.0, usually I don't go with games lower than 4.0 though (and I've never actually bought a game that scored in the 4.0-4.9 range).

saying a game got a 'good score' starts at 8 for me. i'll look at games that scored lower, though, if they're interesting.. i don't pay attention to reviews as a primary judge. for instance, i liked Dark Messiah quite a lot (6.7), and Die By the Sword (7.0) is one of my favorite games.

8 and up. I know 7 is classified as 'good',but I have high standards and I find alot of games that range in the 7's are crap.

I just bought Overlord today for the 360 (7.5) and I find that pretty enjoyable.

I will not pay full price for a 7.something game though; its hard enough for me to pay full price for anything in the 8's.

I'd normally say 8, but since R&CF:ToD got a 7.5, Im voting seven since that was one of the best games I've played.

It starts at 6, but I'd say an 8.5'd be good.

Usually above 8.5 on MetaCritic. I usually use IGN, GameTrailers, and finally look at MetaCritic when I think about buying a game. I form my own opinions based on all those reviews, but usually, anything above 8.5 has me sold. In the 7s I won't get because I expect the game has a major problem, even though it's fun, it's not polished out.

8 is basically my cutoff limit, but I will sometimes buy a game less than that if it is really fun.

I don't know if it's the nostalgia talking, but I'd say it's AAA as well.

any where in the 7.0's is what I consider a rental score.

8.0's and up are purchasing scores for me.

7.5 and up is respectable. Things from a 5-7 are probably rentals for me at most.

typically depends on the genre but if I rate a game 7.5 or better it means I like it.

7 as it stand for "good", that doesn't mean though I will necessary agree with that score the reviewer has given. There are actually a few games that have even scored lower than a 5 but have proven to be enjoyable anyways.

I always consider a high 8 and above to be worth buying with no worries. If the game gets lower than that it goes in the rent first category
