Uncharted 2: Among Thieves First Screenshots!

Details From Game Informer

* There's a new girl named Chloe Frazer. GameInformer asked about Elena and Sully's return but they had no comment.
* The story is about looking for the ships that Marco Polo "lost" while returning home to Italy.
* Melee combat is more dynamic now.
* They mentioned they were using only 30% of the PS3's power with Drake's Fortune and are planning to use nearly 100% with Among Thieves.
* A demo was shown to GI with Drake going through a city (I believe in Nepal), and he's stealthily taking out guards and escaping the city.
* Nolan North returns to be Drake and Chloe Frazer is played by Claudia Black (Stargate SG-1, Fargate).
* The SIXAXIS mechanics were ditched for such things as throwing grenades.
* One of the weapons revealed is a rocket launcher that Chloe uses (might only be for the cinematic).
* There are no load screens.
* The score is being composed by Greg Edmonson (same guy who composed the first game).
* Weapons can be used in any stance (running, behind cover, hanging, climbing a wall, etc.).
* You can now move while aiming behind cover.

Sweet Jesus they are using nearly 100% of PS3s power in Uncharted 2. Can't wait for this one.

Looking good. I just hope they incorporate multiplayer somehow this time around. Imagine 24-32 players online with Uncharted's gameplay? It would be incredible.

First one is one of my favorite PS3 games. Can't wait for the sequel.

From what I can see in the screens, it looks about identical to the first Uncharted in the visual department, but that's no knock, because Uncharted is still pretty smexy looking, no doubt. I hope bigger and better images are released soon. Oh wait, the VGA's! :D

I hope Uncharted 2 has less foliage, because the foliage in Uncharted: DF looked like fake plastic plants.

Edit: I am not saying Resistance 2 is on par with either game I was just giving an example. Oh and Gears of War 2 has a variety of environments which Gears and Uncharted both lack, Gears more so.

And I don't see anything next year looking better than KZ2, unless GOWIII just really amazes. But I can easily see Uncharted 2 beating or contending with RE5... Heck, MGS4 beats RE5 in overall graphic quality. I enjoyed the demo but I find it interesting that ppl toss around RE5 now as if it represents a standard of gfx that we haven't already seen??? The char models are great... but the environmental details are lacking.

well i just finished reading the gi story and they say they are pushing the cell to 90% so i cant wait to see this game.njean777

We better be seeing some mighty impressive physics if that's the case, but I doubt it is. Exclusive devs have pulled that % crap before, and later we found out it wasn't exactly true.

And I don't see anything next year looking better than KZ2, unless GOWIII just really amazes. But I can easily see Uncharted 2 beating or contending with RE5...
