Uncharted 2 and GOW 3 pictures - no bullshots

Those pictures are real:).

GOW3 looks very good, but it depends on the locations. Some places it looks incredible, some places it looks mediocre.

some of those pics reek of super sampling anti aliasing. ie bullshots.

yes the IMAGE is real, its from in-game. only its had post production processing done on it to touch it up.

which is COMMON you will see many Halo 3, Gears of War, GT5 screenshots with the same techniques applied to them.

I think the scale distracts some people. It's a great looking game, but not UC2 level. Most fo the game looks rather bland, aside from some amazing set pieces.

Also, does anyone have any pics of when Kratos fights Zeus on that ledge??? That was the first time I ever felt like I was playing CG. That was simply the best looking thing I have ever seen ina video game. You can also see that when you retry that mission that the PS3 has to start it up like it is going in to full power!!!!!!!!

I'll put in a comment on GoW3's graphics, but first let me start by saying that GoW3 IS the reason I purchased a PS3. I had a hard time and didnt get a PS3 till around March 18th 2 days afer the release of GoW3. Everywhere I called and went they are out of stock, I just happen to get lucky on a shipment to my local Gamestop.

So on purchase day I fired up my brand new Slim PS3 and a copy of GoW3, WOW!!!! The game is epic and everything I expected after playing the Part 1 and 2. Part 3 does not dissapoint.

Now for the graphics, while good they arent great, the animations are superb, the textures are so-so, but the scale of the game more than makes up for it. So do I think it has the best graphics? No, but they are very good, the game though is very deserving of a 9.0. At times it feels like a 10.0 game, could almost be Perfect!

Now that I am an owner of a PS3 I need to do some catching up and get some exclusive games.

For the last time, MLAA does not make it jaggy free, it removes around 95% jaggies though as there are still some jaggies in GOW 3.

Any screen above 2xAA for Uncharted 2 is a you know what. Play a PC game to know what 2xAA looks like too.

I played every great looking PC game made. Only Crysis looks better than U2 and GOW3. Its pathetic only one game on PCactually looks better than U2 and GOW3.

GOW 3 would have been nicer if it had a smaller FOV. The camera was just too far out to show off the great graphics. Gameplay probably wouldnt have been affected too much if the camera was just a little closer to Kratos. Then we would also be able to see the nice character details.

And some of the first few pics are bullshots. The camera never zooms that close to show off the minotaurs detail. And there clearly is a lack of Anti-Aliasing that was definitely present in the real game.

This one is real, I agree, but it has a few jaggies, they are just hard to notice on a still screen. And now that I examined one by one the pics posted up, I think a few of them are real too (2nd, 9th and 10th).

Anyway, the game looks great, and even the small imperfections it has are almost imperceptible in motion.

I really didn't notice ... but yea I don't think the pics posted are bullshots at all, heck I think the game in motion looks much better with the added motion blur and lighting effects. It's just one stunning looking game.

I don't care if I get banned but anyone who says God of war 3 has bad graphics is a **** retard.

Watch in HD. Skip to 5:30... Oh but where is teh HUD? It only appears when you are actively attacking, or standing next to a chest.

Nothing else in the game really matches this again though...

anyone who says this game only looks average is only jealous cause they are a fanboy or they cant play it, trust me I own all systems and this game looks amazing, no video can do the game justice you just have to play it for yaself and see. Im sure everyone in here atleast has a friend that owns a ps3 PLEASE GO OVER THEIR HOUSE AND PLAY IT.

NO HUD because if you have played GoW series, the Hud dissapears whenever you're not using Magic or getting hit. If you collect red orbs or wahtever, the hud will reappear, then dissapear...

Those pics in the first post are all real images, just finished the game...

Digital Foundry Compares GoW III final to E3 '09 Demo

Totally different. GoWIII really does look incredible. I still think U2 looks a little better overall, but GoWIII is damn impressive and it's incredibly effective at transporting you into this crazy, fantasy, fictionalized universe and making it seem plausible.

all i see is just low amounts of polygons and muddle textures covered up by pretty colours so they dont look as bad

But my point still stands, GOW3 isn't THAT good, but we all know what fanboys are like.
And about people judging GOW3 demo graphics, they are quite bad compared to final product.
Scale is the most impressive thing in GOW3 and thats considering that a lot of the big things aren't vistas.

As far as consoles go, these games are top notch in graphical fidelity. UC2, KZ2 and GOW3 are amazing achievements as far as console games are concerned.

It looks really really amazing. But after playing Crysis, Stalker, and Arma, it doesn't wow me to be honest. Still, great looking game for consolites though. :) /uninitatespatronizingmodule. :P

The graphics in gow 3 are good but the gameplay is great imo good graphics and great gameplay = a great game. Uncharted 2 is a great game also sure the graphics are not on the pc's level but the gameplay makes up for that. Both games are fun and I would put them up to any game on any system despite the pc having better graphics.
