U2 is a really good game cant think of an action game that comes close to it honestly

I gave Cole the edge as the best character from both game, i think both sets of character sucks. Uncharted atleast have some personality though.
you just said you didn't think Nathan was a bad character...? Make up your mind.I previously didn't say he sucked, is whatI said (reading comprehension) Both casts suck. Cole is just funny
is that venezuela's miss universe of last year in your sig? She's beautiful (off topic).[QUOTE="-Snooze-"][QUOTE="edo-tensei"] you just said you didn't think Nathan was a bad character...? Make up your mind.edo-tensei

Depends what you're comparing. UC2 takes it's cast seriously, and in doing so failssince they're so boring. Nathan reminds me of pretty much anyone Harrison Ford has ever played,Gears' Cast is just meatbags wearing cars, But Cole is funny, so they get the edge.
-Snooze-
I don't think Cole is funny.
Can you get more specific about which Harrison Ford roles Drake's personality seems to be based on?

I guess he says Harrison Ford because of Indiana Jones or Han Solo. I dont see that as a bad thing.[QUOTE="Hahadouken"]

Harrison Ford is an excellent actor, and Han Solo etc are excellent. It's not a "bad" thing. I just find it very boring now.

I guess he says Harrison Ford because of Indiana Jones or Han Solo. I dont see that as a bad thing. Certainly not a bad thing, but Harrison Ford is more the gruff, sour guy, in those roles, while Drake is kind of a goofball. Indy and Han took charge, they wouldn't let Chloe lead them around like that. I don't think Drake is the most unique character ever designed, but that could be said for 99% of video game protaganists. In terms of other VGs I think he is a pretty defined character, if not unique. He's certainly iconic after U2. The only comparison to Drake I have to give merit to is Nathan Fillion. If -Snooze- had gone that route, I wouldn't have had much to say. Then again, Nathan Fillion is hardly a cliched archtype or anything.[QUOTE="RadecSupreme"]I guess he says Harrison Ford because of Indiana Jones or Han Solo. I dont see that as a bad thing. Not gonna lie. I have no idea who that is. What movies has he been in?

Serenity. It's a great sci-fi movie :). He did a voice for a character in ODST as well.I'd say the only bad thing about him is that he's from Edmonton, Alberta  :P.

Now that Hahadouken explained it more thoroughly, Drake isn't really like Indy at all.

He's most well-known for Firefly. I'll be honest, I've never seen it, but I've heard good things.
Here is a link to an article comparing them (I'm far from the first to make this comparison):

Here is a Youtube link of a clip from Firefly. I think it's a much more reasonable comparison than Harrison Ford. Now you can use Nathan Fillion against us U2 fanboys! ;)

You know what? To end all the comparisons... Drake is literally Nolan North :|. Like, that's the dude's personality in real life. That's why Nolan loves the Uncharted franchise. During UC1 development, ND told him to be himself, thus Drake was born![QUOTE="TREAL_Since"]Serenity. It's a great sci-fi movie :). He did a voice for a character in ODST as well.

Touche good sir!Wow, check this out: I just found out that Greg Edmonson did the soundtrack for both Firefly *and* Uncharted series! The comparisons don't end lol.

Yeah you're right, he is like that in interviews and everything as well.
I'm just pointing out that his character is much more similar to "Malcolm Reynolds" than anything Ford has done.
Here is a Youtube clip of Nolan North (Drake), Emily Rose (Elena), and Claudia Black (Chloe). They all look a lot like their characters, especially Emily Rose. Sooo hot, want to touch the heiny!

Edit:
Another interview with them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXiseWmHvzM&feature=fvw
^^^ I agree 100%. And thanks for the links. It's so cool and weird to hear/see them talk in real life . I'm gonna go watch some of the unlockable vid docs for Uncharted 2! That reminds me. I still have to watch the Making of GOW3!
EDIT: Emily Rose is fine for real!
[QUOTE="Episode_Eve"][QUOTE="Sp4rtan_3"]The gun battles in that game left something to be desired, after playing BFBC2 all other gun battles seem like a downgrade.TREAL_SinceThis is how I rank the satisfaction of current gen shooters' gunplay: 1.) Killzone 2 2.) Bad Company 2 3.) Uncharted 2 4.) Gears 2 5.) Metal Gear Solid 4/ Mass Effect 2Seriously, great list. If you're mad, there's no better satisfaction than pouring bullets into Helghast. BC2 is next for sure!
I'm going to pick up Killzone 2 soon (it's a greatest hits now!) and I'm hoping that you guys are right because gunplay in an FPS is very important to me (I use to play CS:S a lot). I have BC2 already so I know the gunplay it has. Uncharted 2's is also nice for a TPS.

Trust me :). Killzone and BC2 have the best gun play this gen. Killzone 2 is a bit better for me because of the amazing enemy death animations and sense of weight. It really feels like you're pouring bullets into bodies .Also, don't go into Kilzone 2 expecting a great story or characters. They took standard shooter elements and refined them mostly. It's fun and satisfying technical eye candy more than anything (single player).

The ONLY THING that can keep you from enjoying it is that the movement is kind of sluggish. It's designed that way though, it wasn't a mistake. They wanted to feel like the characters have real weight to them. Personally I had no trouble adjusting to the controls. If you can get around that, I totally 100% agree that purely shooting things in KZ2 feels better than almost every other game I have ever played. It feels like shooting a GUN, not a crosshair that magically spawns bullets. The story and hero characters are basically a throwaway, not gonna sugarcoat it, but the Helghast are an awesome enemy, the bad characters are really cool, the cover system feels great and the AI is pretty clever and aggressive. I really, really enjoyed KZ2.It really feels like you're pouring bullets into bodies .TREAL_SinceThis. That's what I was trying to get across. Just shooting the gun in general feels badass, killing Higs (or killing ISA as a Hig online - even better! - TREAL knows what I'm talking about) is pure awesome. Death animations, the gun animations, rumble, recoil, rate of fire, the sound... it's really well done.
