Uncharted 2 didn't win GOTY on any major site

where to start, the engines dated beyond belief.Half baked Single player,half baked MP in some senses,the spec ops portion felt tacked on.But mainly my gripe is what looked good for CoD in 2007 doesnt look good in 2009 tbh imo it looks pretty dated compared to some of its competitors.

It wouldnt surprise me if they just recycle the archaic engine again for MW3 whenever that appears.

However, GT giving GOTY to MW2. No. That's fanboyism. Thats crap. MW2 DID NOT deserve to win. It was the game that tried to sell as many copies as possible. That's it. It had a 5 hour SP, and a noob filled MP. Total crap on GT, I'll never trust their reviews again for giving in to the fanboy crap.

well to be honest, the fact that they gave MW2 best PC, 360 and PS3 game of the year as well as GOTY is total bull. even the lists were terrible... both the 360 and PS3 contenders were the same (RE5, FF4, MW2, batman AA, etc), they failed to mention games like demon's soul, inFAMOUS, R&C:CiT, Forza3, ODST, Total War, etc is just embarrassing. I can just imagine them frothing at the mouth when MW2 is mentioned

Since a long time ago. I've always just watched gametrailer reviews for the videos and not for what they say or the score they give. I remember them playing Crysis on Medium and also giving it an 8.5 for gameplay. And when they said they docked points from Uncharted 2 for being "unoriginal".

Giving GOTY to MW2 on PC, 360 and PS3? You can't be serious. I got the game yesterday for 360. It's fun but god it's total chaos online with all those air strikes, noob tubes, op shotguns, thermal snipers. Not to mention the SP is really short. Extremely overrated if you ask me.

2. I have finished the game, I thought it was a decent game, but nowhere near the "masterpiece" or "GOTY" hype the game is recieving. I believe its overrated, and if its too hard to accept that I played the game and didn't think it was great, then I guess I simply dont care. I dont have to prove anything.

3. VGA? G4TV? If you consider these mainstream, pathetic attempt at review sites to be credible, then you need to do abit more research. VGA 2009 was nothing more than mainstream publicity and show up, their nominees where horrible.

GameTrailers isn't major, they're random.

We'll have to see what IGN hands out as GOTY.

But Uncharted 2 has won 39 game of the year awards so far, although mostly random sites.

Give me a break, linear and boring climbing system, mediocre shooting experience and a decent story. Nothing more than that. If you can look pass the graphics, this game is nothing more than decent.

No, It deserved it so much thats why it won X-Play GOTY, VGA GOTY, won many awards at E3, it won 4 awards in X-Play, it won best PS3 game (including multiplatform titles) of the year from IGN, and that is why it scored higher than demon souls and MW2 on metacritic: Uncharted 2 is the second highest rated game this generation next to the much overrated GTA4. Its sad to me why lot of people think this game is overrated when it has amazing voice acting, graphics, cinematics, gameplay, addicting multiplayer, great story, addicting co-op, what more do you want? This game fully deserves GOTY and it is the highest rated game of 2009 too. Does that seem like no awards? Not to mention it winning Eurogamers GOTY award too and Eurogamer always rates PS3 games badly.

I was hearing the podcast and greg miller is worried that people wont give uncharted 2 goty because some of his co workers havent really put major time in both sp and mp and some said they might pick AC2 as their goty vote. Hopefully during the vacation they gave uncharted 2 both sp and mp a good run through.

Cause they agree with him thats how it makes it more credible. Im pretty sure if GT gave it to uncharted 2 he wouldint call it a major site. After GT giving MW2 an award for each platform idk what to think of thier opinion.

This. Even though I didn't play Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2 probably is a lot better. :P

Uncharted 2 was the most deserving of the award, and why it didn't win here on GS, I don't know. At least GS gave the award to another awesome game though, whereas GT gave it to a game that I think did not deserve to even be considered for GOTY honors.

Still, even though I like Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2 deserved GOTY.

A. What in the hell does graphics have to do with gameplay?

B. Uncharted 2 doesn't have an original bone in it's body, but it's a fantastic game and they sure as hell said it.

So far I haven't not seeing anything that makes them any less credible than the likes of IGN and Gamespot. What I have seen is a lot of disgruntled fanboys crying because GT doesn't agree with them.
