Uncharted 2 is now GOTY confirmed.

with the latest review that just came out of the game that i do not want to mention because of angry mods on patrol, which is also a game that was the biggest threat to U2. it is now clear, uncharted 2 has left the competition in the dust. and for all the doubters, haters that prob got banned for saying such nonsense, thinking that this day would never happen......yes, yes it CAN


ALSO, this review has showed me that GS did NOT follow the hype behind the game, it showed me that they did NOT bend over to activision for a review copy, and that they are trust worthy once again. cheers to GS

without a doubt GOTY confirmed. Uncharted to was the most beautiful game and had a great stroy mode, the multiplayer was good too. MW2 was ok story but perfect multiplayer. this makes it 2 years in a row for PS3. GOTY!!!!

It's not confirmed until GameSpot....well confirm it.

It's not even inevitable at this point, Uncharted 2 isn't the only game that's scored 9.5 this year. Dragon Age, Forza 3 and Chinatown Wars have too. Not to mention the huge amount of 9.0 games.

It's not even the most recent game to score 9.5, and historically late release games get the GOTY award since they're fresher in the reviewers minds.

I love MW2 but it's unlikely to get GOTY 9.5 >>9.0

Everyone should keep in mind scores do not necessarily equate to GOTY. I still think UC2 will take it though.

IGN AU gave New Super Mario Bros Wii a 9.2

You can't count it out, while i'm predicting an 8.5 for it from GSPOT you can't count out the possiblity

everyone thought Mass Effect, Bioshock, Halo 3 would get GOTY 2007 and what wonderful game got it?

Since MW2(360) came out I haven't been playing Dragon Age(PC). UC2 will be a big pile of dust in a box while MW2 is being played for a long time. For that reason alone MW2 deserves GOTY but more than likely game sites may pick UC2because they feel Sorry for Sony and the PS3 fan club.

lol no ones going to pick a racer that didn't even sell good over Uncharted 2 the best game this year I think GTA CTW has a better chance than forza 3..

I very much hope it doesn't as it's not nearly as fun as the many other games I've played this year.

I also believe that Uncharted 2 will win GOTY. To me though, it is hard to say which game is better. I would have to wait a few weeks to judge this.

If Uncharted 2 doesn't get GOTY here I will pull a kevin-V and eat my hat.

But hey I predicted that MGS4 would win GOTY almost a year before the game even came out (along with several other MGS4 bets back in the good ole days of SW) and I am 100% confident that U2 will take it this year.

There have been a **** load of awesome games this year but U2 takes the cake.

I wouldn't go that far. It might win GOTY year but it doesn't mean game of the century. To me, Uncharted 2 was a very good game. It would not be in my top 10 though.

I know which game I'll play 5 years or even ten years from now. It will be Dragon Age. The toolset alone is going to let this game shine forever from player made mods.

I have playing one reiteration or another from Baldur's Gate, Fallout, Planescape every year over and over again.
