Uncharted 2 MP vs Gears of War 3 MP direct feed comparison(56k)

So...I got tired of same ol same bullshot posting so I thought why not to compare couple of Gears 3 direct feed shots from beta to UC2 mp?OK,here it goes...

Why are you comparing a 2009 game with a 2011 one? Wouldnt it be more smart to wait till, I dunno, June?

UC2 was never a looker in MP. This one goes to Gears 3.

It's kind of annoying to see such a big difference in SP and MP graphics.

Yeah basically this. It was nowhere near the SP. I think Uncharted 3's MP already looks a lot better than Uncharted 2's, as will the SP.

Yes Gears 3 MP will look better than U2 MP, but you did just pick the worst screens of the bunch for Uncharted 2, it looks muchy better than that on my ps3

Then you find a better ones,please,be my guest.I would love me to found them but I seen this comparison on Gaf and I just posted it here.BTW,UC2 has no AA or AF im MP so its not really problem with screens.Map is bad though...

Well obviously Gears 3 will look better, it's been two years. A fair comparison would be Gears 3 and UC3, which will probably be similar in terms of graphics.

Gotta give props to Epic for squeezing every last drop of power from the 360. Gears 3 looks pretty sweet.

damn i must have an upgraded PS3 cause when I play UC2 its mp looks much better than those screenshots... or else TC made sure to pick some of the worst pics..

Geow3 is shaping up nicely and like any other game in motion looks better than in pics.. am not in the beta myself but had the chance to play the game and its looking really good, surely on par with UC2's mp...

Do graphics in mp matter that much to people? Stopping to look at pretty textures is a good way to get your head blown off.WithoutGraceXII

No your TV scales the image and smoothes out the jaggies. The textures aren't going to magically change.

yeah... I don't even need to look at shots for this one. uncharted 2 looks so much worse in the multiplayer than single player it's not even funny. btw bus, does uncharted 2 have 2x AF or 4x AF in the single player? I thought it was 2x but I'm not sure.theuncharted34

AFAIK Uncharted 2 does not have AF,it has trillinear filtrating.Thats only(IMO) minus side of their engine.

Uncharted 2 was known to many as a console benchmark. With some people even calling Naughty Dog... Naughty Gods.

Case in point... Epic wanted to make sure that Gears 3 MP looked better than Uncharted 2's MP.

I didn't pick the worse screens its just that those are direct feed shots.The "real" deal.When you play it from your couch it looks much better.Console outputs frame to TV,it scales it according to its resolution,you look from ~2 feet distance,motion blur works in motion(and other post processing) and you get "It does not look like that on my telly" ;)

imo its a waiste of time such comparisons though, since everyone who played/plays/ will play these games wont see them looking so 'bad' when in motion...

personally i'd rather play a game with awesome multiplayer while having jaggies which i wont notice rather then no jaggies and boring/average mp...

Yes but you can't compare them that way so we take direct feed shots of those games and compare them.Thats how we know what res of the game is,what type of AA it uses etc.

maybe but even vids can give you an idea of which game looks better.. i mean for example we dont need still shots to determine which games looks better if we compare Resistance1 to Killzone2 or else Halo3 vs Geow2, we know which look better...

but anyway the world is nice cause people have different point of views otherwise there would be nothing to talk/discuss :)
