Uncharted 2 versus Real Life

Check out this comparison I found. I can't wait for this game. The first one was so awesome. The gameplay wasn't trying to break borders, the story wasn't trying to give you some deep moral choices. It was just a real fun action-adventure game with likeable characters, a great campy story, and jaw-dropping visuals. It gave me the same feeling that I used to get in the 16 bit era.

Uncharted 2 doesnt come close to real life. its artstyle is not realistic. PGR3 and 4 look more real

Eh...Comparison could be much better than that. They aren't even remotely similar. Now Crysis vs Real Life on the other hand...
The Crysis screens were based on the real-life screens. Whoever did this Uncharted 2 versus Real Life comparison did things the other way around and probably isn't a developer to boot.

Comparisons would work for any game provided you have access to the dev kit...Whoever did this obviously did not and just googled for random images with a common object e.g masks to use as comparison when the entire scene is supposed to modeled after each other.

This comparison's just not good enough to get a real idea of how far UC2 is from real-life.

real life is overrated everyone knows that it has some of the worst character design around, just look at some of the people in the pics you posted, so little detail to the face xD

Damn, that game is ugly. And those aren't even in-game screen, which makes the game uglier. Naughty Dog, you fail.

I think people are far too over hyped about this games graphics if they are trying to compare it to real life...

this thread kind of backfired on the TC lol. i think he was trying to 'wow' us but everything i've seen in this thread takes away from Uncharted 2 rather than add to. those pix compared to the real life ones look silly and thrown together...nothing to brag about at all.

I hope this game flop, too over hype.

It's an amazing looking game... but not even close. The game doesn't look "real". It just looks amazing. If you want to compare games to real life.. Crysis is the way to go.

Difference being CryEngine 2 assets are actually suitable for comparison with real world, Uncharted 2 is more stylized and hence uncomparable.

Uhhhh.... the graphics remind me of gears 2 in thier quality Idk why everyone says they are so amazing, I've seen every video and never dropped myjaw and said amazing. This game is never going to deliver do to the monumental hype its getting.

The pictures look more realistic, but Uncharted 2 is more colorful, vibrant, and attractive.

wow...The game takes place in REAL locations so err what do you expect them to do?

All I basically said is the people comparing Uncharted 2 to real life are over hyped, if you think they are comparable your a hype victim like the rest of them.

Consoles don't have the hardware to keep up with Crysis; which is still nowhere near photo-realism, let alone use super downscaled bullshots to compare with real life.
