Here's 1280x1024 x8 anti aliasing x16 anisotropic filtering all max

Odd, 8AA should almost completely eliminate noticeable jaggies, and 16AF usually looks a lot sharper.

Nope it's on 8x anti aliasing x16 anisotropic filtering with max quality picture in drivers and ati cards always had better anti aliasing anisotropic filtering than nvidia cards, this was taken on nvidia card.

crysis just does not close up well like i said.

If you turn Texture Filtering Quality to 'High Quality' in the Nvidia control panel it should look just about equal, and 8xAA should remove virtually the same amount of jaggies on an ATI or Nvidia card.

I own an Nvidia card, and 16x AF looks nowhere near that bad.

plus it all depends on area/ angle/lighting how good the pic looks

john carmack was talking about how day/night time cycle can make levels look crappy lol, that's why he used lightmaps kinda.

the tree's in crysis they look pixelated from a distance no matter what anti aliasing ur using lol

then post a picture of same texture, using ur x16 af and it will look the same because that crysis mud texture never cleaned up good with anisotropic filtering.

Never had any problems with them, but I'm on a newer version now anyway.
Also I'm uninstalling crysis because it's a waste of space :lol:

So... Uncharted 2 can't even hold up against little 2D photographs... how on earth can you compare it to *real life*, given that photos are crappy 3 by 5s are lightyears behind good photography, which itself still doesn't compare to the "Real world".subrosian

The game looks more vibrant than real life lol. But anyways, of course it doesn't look as realistic as real life but wow they did such a great job of capturing the city.

A stamp sized screenshot of any game looks good. But even then that doesn't look realistic, I don't think it even tries, it has a distinct cartoony/muddy artstyle. But props for having all those details like the elephant woman mask in the game too, it doesn't make it special these days though. And while the 3rd picture from the up looks great, I'm thinking it's an offscreen shot.
