Was that Uncharted 2 or Uncharted 3? I couldn't tell because it looks like the same damn game. I'm not buying it. And it looks like Naughty Dog is now obsessing over multiplayer like every other developer. /sigh

Wow people are calling this a rehash? and comparing to COD of all things.
U2 was an incremental leap over the firsat, added a ton of things including MP, and it still remains the best SP campaing and graphically engrossing game to this day. Oh it doesnt come out every year,
by sme people's definition every sequel is a rehash
I wonder how many more times crap will break under Nathan's weight to cause "suspense" in Uncharted 3
Not really understanding the COD comparisons at the moment. Uncharted 2 Among Thieves was a fantastic game. Not like they are gonna start from scratch. The multiplayer is of course going to look much like Uncharted 2. It's a sequel. People must be expecting Naughty Dog to completely rehaul the entire engine or something. Amazing how games can get away with so many COD's, Soccer games, wrestling games, sports games in general, Halo and the hundreds of other games but if Naughty Dog doesn't completely change it up even one game later all of a sudden it's a rehash/reskin and doesn't deserve your money.
It's the multiplayer and it looks great to me. I'm sure we will see even more stuff soon and I am sure the single player will surely be better than Uncharted 2. The animation still looks better than every other game on the market. The graphics obviously still take a hit when playing online though.

I am having a deja vu, I swear I read something pretty much identical to this 2 years ago when ND announced the multiplayer for U2 .... the game looks very similar to U1 and 2 tho.
dude, its the same thing, you might not see it, but its the same. Thats how sequels are nowdays, stalker games, bc2 and dead space 2 were exactly like that. So were doom 1 and 2 and fallout 1 and 2 but people like to bash cod, that is all.Not really understanding the COD comparisons at the moment. Uncharted 2 Among Thieves was a fantastic game. And there does seem to be changes too.
Movement and shooting seems improved once again.
The first vid showed newgame mode for multi (believe it was the 2v2v2 mode they already confirmed/may not have been this mode, but still new modes exist)
And the weapon system has been changed from field pick up to point pay system (like MGO), that has customisation in it.
This is just the stuff I noticed from the vid
This game just looks too good. Only thing I don't like is the new design they gave Nathan Drake's face.
Meh. That was okay I guess. It really does look like UC2. I don't see any improvements here. As a matter of fact you could make an argument that some spots looked worse than uc2. I would've sworn I read something where some visual sacrifices might have to be made due to a focus on 3d. I'll wait for the fall because it's still too early to pass judgement. But still all of that was just okay. Also I'm glad I'm not the only one who complained about the "popcorn" gun sound effects and poor-looking explosions from uc2. Those sound effects just makes the whole experience/production "feel" cheesy and fake.
people just love to hate whatever is popular. drakekratosExactly! I bet you too that a good portion hating don't even have a PS3 to play Uncharted. Diisgruntled and bitter 360 fans IMO. They just mad that they can't experience Uncharted 2 & 3 I saw the video and it looked awesome! I dont know what the people in this thread are seeing. Honestly these people are f'n crazy. The graphics were great and the vertical shoot outs/gameplay looked amazing, with that patented Naughty Dog level of polish and fun to it. And that wasn't even the single player, where Naught Dog truly shines so bright with excellence!
not bad...i mean obviously it will look like uc2....do people actually expect a huge jump in graphics in a game that was developed in 2 years?...on the same engine..eboyishereand this far in console life cycle.......

oh please. so what if it looks like Uncharted 2? were you expecting a big graphica leap? you're making it seem like Uncharted 3 should look twice as good as Uncharted 2. that is not the case so stop saying 'meh it doesn;t look that better' because it won't. Uncharted 2 already looks beautiful enoguh, and the best graphics on consoles hands down.
also, this is co-op, online. this is not single-player footage. so save your 'oh oh oh some spots look worse than UC2!" bologne.
it would ruin the experience if it had gun sounds like Battlefield. with Battlefield of course the guns should sound really loud, but if you put those sounds in Uncharted 3 it'll just ruin the whole thing. it is an action adventure game, not an FPS. shooting, even though most of the time you do it, is not the focus of the game.
you peopel have a lot of complain about Uncharted 3 even if there's really nothing to complain about. nitpicking things that will "ruin" your experience, blah blah blah crap. if youve managed to game during the past gens with much much worse sound effects, what's stopping you now? don't be such spoiled brats and just enjoy the game. nitpicking on things will not make the game any worse.
Uncharted games shine on their singleplayer campaigns and this one wont be any exception. Honestly, multiplayer wise i dont think it looks that good.

it looks much better than Gears 3 that's for sure. did you see the shadows and al lthe dynamic light sources? not just that, but the maps are much bigger than Gears 3's small scaled maps that takes 30 seconds to reach the other side.

Uncharted 3 does not use dynamic light sources, they're all pre-baked
Also no, the maps are not much bigger, they are actually smaller but have vertical levels, giving the illusion of have a larger roaming area
Haters gon' haate.
That was incredible, I can tell the upgrades in multiplayer and the new weapons in it. I thought Sprint would be OP, but it actually looked awesome. Also, the boosters seem to be fair, but that Was just one video. And the co-op looked funner, but is it only Drake and Sully? Or is that a glitch.
Overall, I'm impressed , and the 28th can't come any sooner.

I believe that singleplayer wise, Gears 3 and Uncharted 3 will be neck to neck. Looking at these vids no, Gears 3 multiplayer looks better, and it´s not close.
Anyway, not sure why did you bring Gears 3 to this discussion...

Are you talking co-op or multiplayer? Either way, how the fudge can you tell? The map overview does'nt really show how large the map is. So how did you calculate that the maps aren't larger if you didn't play it?[QUOTE="PAL360"]

You must be joking. Good one! Uncharted 3's MP levels are much bigger then Gears 3 MP levels. Go check gameplay vids for yourself. They're out there. It's not even a contest The vertical levels only make it that much more bigger Gears maps are TINY as hell. Dude might have been joking, but it takes literally like 30 seconds to go from one side of the map to the other. And if anything Gears lighting does look pre baked. Uncharted's visuals looks far more organic and fresh.I think you can count the number of people in this thread who actually talked about the gameplay differences and etc and not the just graphics on one hand. Wow.FIipMode
I'm surprised too, there is quite the significant leap over Uncharted 2's multiplayer from what I've seen in these two gameplay trailers.:? Looks quite dope too, I hope they take their whole "vertical battles" more seriously. (Love the scope on the Pistole as well:lol: )

I've seen SP gameplay footage of both and Uncharted 3 looks better by far. Gears 3 is still competing with Uncharted 2(in graphics and in gameplay) Mulitplayer wise you have to consider that Gears renders TINY environments and has significantly less going on then in Uncharted....less number of characters and less effects ect AND even then its still really close.[QUOTE="PAL360"][QUOTE="rumbalumba"]

That looks great. It looks like Naughty Dog improved the movement again, the crosshairs look a bit more solid, the menus look more manageable and varied, and adding in that sprint looks really helpful. Too bad I probably won't get much MP with this since BF3 is right around the corner.

This isn't battlefield with 12v12 or 24v24 , its 5v5. Having a MUCH bigger map isn't beneficial you realise that 3/4 of it isn't being used.
Organic and Fresh? We're not talk about vegetables here. If you take your fanboy goggles off, you realise that the uncharted maps we've seen has no foilage compared to gears and until they show maps that do, it looks more sterile.
Gears renders TINY as hell environments with not much going on , so it can afford to pump up the graphics a little. Uncharted is doing so much more, it's bigger and even then still renders beautiful graphics. On par if not better. u need to take off your 360 fanboy goggles dude lol. And yes, events like that will be in almost every gears 3 MP map, proving it will have a lot going on. And gears 3 map sizes vary immensly, if you've played the beta you'd know (which evidently you haven't).
I'm trying to explain the truth, and your responses are just blatantly biased. Also I have both consoles, do you?
