It's definetly debatable. Uncharted 2 had an amazing single player, with great gunfights, platforming and puzzles and a good multiplayer. Uncharted 3 had a great single player, but the thing is the story had a lot of holes. The MP in UC3 was fantastic though, the co-op was better and so was the versus.
uncharted 3 was terrible, QTE was overdone...especially compared to uncharted 2. And lets not forget the online (yea i know lulz uncharted online) was a cod fest, so i would say UC3 is no where near as good as UC2 was.
in what way? 3 is easily the best in the series, but had a smaller impact which is why people figure 2 is better.

No, because UC2 had a longer campaign and MP was more skilled based. No, not really. The MP was boring and piss easy. Really? UC3 plays like an expanded UC2 and heck UC3 is easier with the kick backs, faster upgrades and power plays, not to mention for some reason I take people out faster in the game.
i agree, u3 was the better game. The cruise ship + Desert Levels > All of U2campzor
Some of the desert stages aren't that great(though there are some great ones), and getting to the cruise ship was nothing too special. Though being on the ship was good and the desert shootout and horse back riding was good.
some parts of U3 i felt like I had already played before. Drake flailing around in the desert reminded me on Snake at the end of MGS4. Even the fight with Talbot was reminiscent of the fight with Liquid in MGS4. And the end of U3 is sooooo similar to U2. Other than that, I loved them both
I was enjoyimg UC3 up until the shipyard. That section was so poorly designed and cheap I barely managed to force myself to play through it, wanting to get to the plane and desert. I made it as far as the cruise ship and gave up again when it became incredibly cheap and overly difficult. Those levels were just terrible. UC2 was better.
I haven't played UC3 yet so I can't say anything, but I was enjoying UC2 up until you try to rescue that old man. After that the game went downhill, with crappy gunplay marring my ability to enjoy endless shootout after shootout. Is UC3 any better, or does it run out of ideas halfway through?

Different strokes for different folks! I thought the game was painful until the shipyard which was a great level(the best in the series). UC3 as a whole was a good solid game just not at great as it should have been if it wasn't rushed. You could tell it was rush by the last 3 chapters.
Story aside I think what ever changes they made to the gun play was a bad choice and for that alone Uncharted 2 was a much more enjoyable experience than 3.
Personally i enjoyed all 3 titles in the series and imo UC2 & UC3 are equally great titles... UC1 was a great game but had a few more flaws and didnt offer multiplayer..
As I've posted before, I like them both equally, although I wont ever go back to uncharted 2 multiplayer at this point. They were both great games in a great series. One of them is Empire Strikes Back while the other is Return of the Jedi. Both are damn good, people here are just irrational and hard to please.
