I love how Jimmy and his writers can come up with a story (most likely fictional)about him playing and lovingUncharted 2 but he can't find 10 minutes to prep byactually learning the control scheme for the Uncharted games. This isn't the first time he's taken control of a game demo and completely killed the buzz :?

I will say it just seems as fun as always and as long as they keep the pacing like UC2 and not UC1 with the improved fighting animations and reverse climbing(what ever that is LOL ) this game will rule. Too bad you can't have a gun wheel like resistance as that would be too cool.

Well honestly the graphics didn't look much different than UC2. I will say that it is still very linear also but definitely it keeps you at the edge of your seat. Definitely improved hand to hand. They need to improved the gun sounds though as they do seem like pea shooters. Still can't wait for the game but hope they really add something to this game and it doesn't just feel like UC 2.5. You can do it ND.

I know but I was hoping for more I guess. I know they still have time to polish I guess I was hoping for a few different ways to tackle an obstacle with different cinematic things popping up depending on what you chose. I'm not saying it can't be in the game but it didn't seem much different. Still I can't wait for the game especially if they improve some of the gun mechanics. Still my most anticipated game of the year. Well maybe ME3 also. Really I just want some split screen so I can play it with my g/f and it will be my GOTY for 2011. LOL.

Usually I would say a more open feel is great for games, but the linear feel of Uncharted is what makes it so amazing. because it is relatively linear it allows them to make such amazing set pieces that are a blast to see and play.

Even though I do agree with your main point, that does sound kind of cool having different stuff happen depending on what you do, that would be cool if they can put that in the game.

Even though I do agree with your main point, that does sound kind of :roll:cool having different stuff happen depending on what you do, that would be cool if they can put that in the game.

except that it's impossible. even the better 3rd person action adventure games of past gens didnt have that. games like Soul Reaver, Max Payne, Hitman, Syphon Filter, Tomb Raider, etc. didnt have it.

even if a game like Batman Arkham Asylum where you can pretty much go and complete whatever building it is, the same things still happen when you walk past by a corridor. same cinematics, and same scripted events.

funny that people bash this game because of 'scripted events' and 'linearity'. like their Gears of War and Halo games the big cinematic stuff happens in a non-scripted way. :roll: like an airplane crashing or a big monster collapsing. not scripted at all. it was the player that caused it. couldve fallen on that tree or on that hill or wherever.

this preview alone is 9.0 and the full demo shown is 9.5, man its going to be better than that when uncharted3 comes out!

Looks cool. Wish they would have shown some outdoor areas, not really much to look at in a burning building.

I'll have to watch it when it comes on here on the west coast. I wanna see some HD footage before I come to any conclusions.

I'm not a hater I'm just playing devil's advocate. Why can't they have alternate routes. I mean I put in over 160 hours in UC2 and have played and finished both of them twice. I will finish them on crushing in the summer time to get ready for UC3. Just give me splitscreen and it will be my GOTY(I would love to play this game with my g/f.

Uncharted 2 is definitely not overrated as that is my favorite game of the gen and the critics back it up.

I have to say Im disappointed, I was expectng a good while watching gameplay, not just 3 mins. Not with the game mind, just the preview :P

The Last Guardian was announced when Naughty Dog was making Uncharted 2, and we still don't have a live gameplay of it 'til this day. and Uncharted 3 will be releasing before The Last Guardian.

Actually, I think that form of arguing wont be lasting that much longer. Both the consoles have just over a year left. This last group of games is probably the last, as far as visual improvements go.

I was just hyped up expecting more. I know it is already more than a few games that have been announced, but people made a big thing about this gameplay preview, and I have to say I fell for the hype

it would be overkill if the graphics leap is like Uncharted 1 to Uncharted 2. that's asking for the impossible.

only a few games like God Of War 3 and Killzone 2 can match Uncharted 2 on consoles. to even top UC2 is just not possible.

You can tell this game still has a year to go. I think they shouldn't have shown it quite yet. Oh well, we probably won't see anymore until E3, so I will enjoy what is shown now.
