Uncharted 4 is too good from a technical perspective

You can create your own bullshit criteria but that doesn't make it a reality for the rest of the normal world which the regular folks happen to live in.

The logic has direct transference, it's a perfectly logical rationalization and analogy, and it makes sense. If you don't properly understand something you're not a credible or reliable person to discuss something with or bother asking about. PC gaming isn't like a console, it's not plug and play, it doesn't just work, there's a lot involved with it that fundamentally needs to be understood from top to bottom before you are for lack of better words, on your own or able to handle the system as a whole, it greatly supersedes gaming itself.

Stop with this alternate reality. You do not need to know how a PC works in order to be a PC gamer. PC gaming; to a very large degree because of DirectX, is plug an play. Windows would typically update everything relating to gaming with video drivers being the main update. When you load a game on the PC is typically autodetects the best settings. When you connect a controller (Xbox is is preferred) it simply works. If you can operate a computer you can FACTUALLY play a game. It doesn't require any additional knowledge.

I cannot believe you trying to argue that PC gaming is not plug and play. That is really really absurd. But if your need to this false sense of superiority to sleep at night good for you. But don't speak your fallacy as if its is grounded in sound reasoning or logic.

You don't seem to know what plug and play means, it literally translates to plugging something in, turning it on and then you're set, does a PC just assemble itself? Does it install Windows on its own? Does it fix boot sector failures on its own? Does it diagnose blue screen issues? Does it diagnose hardware failures? Does it counter the other countless problematic situations you'll run into for continued usage on its own?

The answer is a flat out fucking no, and if you don't have longevity on the platform you don't know what in the hell you're doing and you're just a visitor who hasn't earned your keep yet.

The Xbone could easily run Uncharted 4's campaign at 900p, and you'd be hard pressed to tell it apart from the PS4 version. Uncharted 4 doesn't seem so technically impressive now, does it?

This is likely very true, another harsh reality with Uncharted 4 that people don't like to hear is due to the method of AA used, the game has a large amount of blur over the whole image which makes it appear like a 900p game.

For all those who aren't hardware enthusiasts or pc gamers, a Radeon R9 290X is similar but not as powerful as a Nvidia GTX 780Ti which is currently 3 generations behind the latest X80 Nvidia offering. I used to have 2x 780Ti OC in SLI and I'm telling you now the GTX 1080 gives more than 10fps minus the microstutter from SLI. GTX 1070 is equivalent to a Maxwell Titan X or 980Ti, all 3 are better than 2x R9 290X in Crossfire if you take into account their ability to utilise Nvidia's Gimpworks in certain games and no microstutter, whilst Sandy Bridge was a very strong gen of Intel processors which still hold up these days after overclocking, there is no way it can match an overclocked 5960X... Sure extreme cores are overpriced as **** and the extra amount you sink into it doesn't translate proportionately with performance, it is still nonetheless powerful.

Dynamitecop, mate, for your sake just walk away. You've already made a huge ass of yourself most people would have realised that and left long ago...

@R10nu: Err yes it is, that's why you keep posting the same picture over and over again. That's an intro level where basically all you do is swim. And although those trees are not as detailed as what's later in the game they are still not 2d sprite based.

It's not an intro level, it happens after you've been heavily exposed to basically all core game mechanics. Call it what it is: a slow walking (swimming) section.

With such limited interactions you'd expect it to look even better, no?
