Uncharted 4 sells 2.7 million copies in first week, its over.

That brings Uncharted 4's total tally to $162 million dollars in just under one week of sales. (Most blockbuster movies don't even make this kind of pocket change)

Is this generation's war finally over? Have the other companies giving up on achieving top level exclusives to match the PS4's Uncharted 4?

Has any PC / WiiU / XBone exclusive game come close to these numbers this generation?

Were already almost 3 years into this generation and I still don't see anything on the horizon for any other systems to have killer app potential to match uncharted 4's sales numbers.

The People have spoken they bought a PS4, they bought Uncharted 4. we can't argue with them. It's over.

You can't argue with gamers. They bought an atari 2600 for pitfall, they bought NES for mario 1, they bought ps4 for uncharted 4. As for the Xbox One , WiiU, and PC they need to step it up, or get out of the ps4's way.

Great game, definitely expected it to sell very well.

If I get a PS4, it will be for Bloodborne. That's basically it, and that's what has stopped me from getting one.

I hope it is indeed over, I want Naught Dog to go back to making fun games, not just corridor movies.

It's well-deserved. For a game of this size to literally have only one puzzle that made me shake my head due to other set pieces present and the very end fight not carrying the mechanics of the game, is literally astounding. I can be fiercely critical of games, at times. What Naughty Dog made here is a masterpiece. As fine a way to send off a franchise as could be asked.

halo 4 was 3.1 million copies sold first week, and was the biggest Halo launch at the time. 2.7 mill for Uncharted is far from just ok.

No actually there isn't a better selling exclusive on xb1/pc/wiiu this generation. Uncharted 4 is the fastest selling one we've ever seen this generation so no I don't need to relax. The other companies need to start stepping up their exclusive library for their platforms to make them more enticing this generation.

Finally an exclusive worth buying, guess why everyone's rushing to buy it.

But will it be the most traded game next week like it was with Knack and KZ?

@ProtossRushX: Mario Kart 8 has a higher attachment rate, id find that more enticing. And if we can count 3DS, then Nintendo has fastest selling exclusives. Step up dat game Sony and Microsoft, yall losing to a small gaming company when yall be gigantic entertainment corporations.

Time for them to step up that adverting. Id spend 175 million advertising for Uncharted 4. Got to spend money to make money.

People are surprised by this? It's Uncharted. It could be shit-on-a-stick (the first one was and still took off, surprisingly) and people would still buy it and call it the best game ever made.

The PS4 still isn't anywhere near the generation-length sales numbers of the PS2 or Wii. Nothing is "over" at this point.

People tend to trade in games that suck I never trade in my best games like mario or pitfall or uncharted. This isn't like a knack or killzone situation plus there's multiplayer and stuff on uncharted 4 or maybe DLC down the line. You trade it in your screwed imo.

Not bad at all, still falls short of Diablo III's 3.5 million in the first day and 6.5 Million in the first week.

This gen, Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls (before coming to Consoles) sold 2.7+ million during first week. Original game sold 6 million in first week back in 2012.

Butthurt about sales? Bayonetta 2 scored well and is an amazing game but it didn't exactly light the charts on fire.

It's first week

Starcraft 2: LOTV Sold 1 million in a day. Diablo 3 sold about 3 million in its first day. Chill, the gen's not "over".

No butthurt here. Just being realistic. And selling lots of copies isn't an achievement. Lots of people buying something doesn't necessarily make it good. That would be an argument from popularity.

I'm just trying to say that there are a few games which have eclipsed these number of sales, but we don't say the PC's won just because it has the most day one/week one sales.

PC doesn't belong to gen that's why no one includes it in this 3 horse race.

Legacy of the Void and Warlords probably have more sales than UC4. Both are exclusive. And there are probably countless games that have more total/overall sales than what UC4 will end up with in a few months, as PC sales are over time rather than front loaded.

Nope. Diablo 3 didn't come to consoles until 2013. It was PC exclusive on release. Unless you meant, it came to them eventually, even then, why does it matter? UC4 not coming to any other system isn't going to change anything... and Diablo 3 still beat it in 1st week sales.

Diablo III didn't release on all platforms on it's first day. It only came to 360/PS3 a year and four months later. Two years, two months later on PS4/XB1.
