Uncharted 4 vs Quantum Break

I haven't seen anyone react negatively toward QB except for an obvious clickbait from Kotaku

That said, outside of graphics and presentation, Uncharted is mediocre, it's plot and characters are the epitome of generic and it's gameplay is mediocre from the gunplay and shooting to the platforming. There's nothing special about it

QB will be day 1 for me, I never got into Uncharted.. Owned the trilogy on PS3 and it was such a generic tomb raider rip off.

I still can't get into it.. but Uncharted 4 looks great, I may cave and give it another chance.

Who cares which game will be better? They are different experiences. Hopefully neither will ship broken.

Well if UC looks mediocre , QB looks even worse. And thats all about it.

What community things about Uncharted 4 and if they want it or not , check thousands of youtube videos , praise from every single person i know , online or irl , sites , critics , literally everyone ... As of QB , not even half of the hype UC4 demo generated .

TC's question is which one will have the most impact. The answer is clearly Uncharted 4.

I think it's likely given both developers I will enjoy Quantum Break much more. When Quantum Break was first unveiled, I was really disappointed with it.

I saw some more recent gameplay footage however, and it has me really pumped. The combat and setting look really exciting. I am quite worried about the TV thing going on with it, though.

This really hits me hard, PS4 exclusive with multiplayer vs Xbox One exclusive with no multiplayer. My background is multiplayer/co-op gaming so for this battle I will give Uncharted 4 the win. Singleplayer games are great but I like having some longevity with multiplayer/co-op modes.

QB, I'll probably play a few times and end up trading in towards something else. When I pick up a PS4 later down the road, UC4 would be a game that I will hold onto with replayability in singleplayer/co-op/multiplayer.

Dosent Quantum Break literally have a TV show within the game itself? i thought xbox fans hated movies LOL

"lemmings" acted like Uncharted was a joke for being scripted "movie game" and then had nothing but praise for ROTTR and now have Quantum Break as their most anticipated exclusive of 2016. Funny is the fact that lems were FAR more vocal of their so-called hate for linear, scripted, cinematic games then cows about new IPs so SMH is right.

April will be a fun month if both games flop in reviews, but I doubt that will happen. :)

It's going to be tricky to predict which game will be flat out better until they both release. Even though both developers of both games have developed good, great or superb games in Naughty Dog's case we saw what happened when a developer like Bungie moved to this gen and tried to create something new and/or ambitious. The same thing can happen to either dev even though it's more likely with Remedy, but it is not impossible for this to happen to Naughty Dog with Uncharted 4.

I think you could select both games and be right to be honest. On one hand Uncharted has most likely already impacted PS4 sales, it is a well known franchise with a large following, many people have probably already bought a PS4 anticipating the games release in April. On the other hand Quantum Break is a new IP from one of the best developers on the planet, on a console that honestly lives off of its four major franchises. So while Playstation has a ton of IPs that all share the responsibility of having an impact on the past & future of the PS4, Quantum Break is poised to be the next great Xbox franchise.

This is by no means saying anything about which game will be better or sell more, since that was not the actual question.

Uncharted 4 will sell more and will score higher than Quantum Break but Quantum Break will be remembered for a long time just like Alan Wake. Most gems don't become popular day one.

They take years, until people realize how great those games were. Some games are ahead of their time and too special to be appreciated by casual market. And I expect QB's script to be more intelligent.

I never see anyone mention Alan Wake. It seems like a game everyone forgets exists except when lems are desperate to name an Xbox exclusive not named HaloGearsForza.

Alan Wake is no exclusive. It's on PC too and I myself played it on PC as well. And a lot of people remember AW and want a sequel. If you can't see that then you haven't looked enough.

Uncharted is more of the same in the sense that Drake is on an adventure and it will be one hell of a final adventure. But it is incorporating TLOU design in it and who knows what else they haven't revealed and kept a secret. I think UC4 will be a nice surprise and the most refined UC game to date as it should be. So it's not exactly more of the same as ND is trying to do new stuff ( for UC) . Now it's up to people wether they accept change or even consider it good. You will always find those type of people.

The Hype for UC4 is surprisingly lower than previous games on SW. I remember TLOU having much more Hype and UC3 too.

Bottom line is UC 4 is hyped because it's exclusive and it's UC, and QB is hyped because it's an Xbox one game that's not coming to PS4. I think QB looks more fresh and interesting but I look forward to one more UC game more. This is drakes last game by ND. and hopefully best UC game.

I prefer uncharted 4 because the characters are more interesting and the set pieces will be much more elaborate/thrilling but both are 30 dollar purchases for me and nothing more.

I'm going to buy stuff like hitman, deus ex, nier automata, persona 5, gravity rush 2, final fantasy 15, etc etc a thousand years before either.

Quantum Break looks a bit boring actually, pretty but boring, I do like the actors though.

UC4 will be the most disappointing UC of them all.

Yeah the entire game is bullet time now...real innovation by Remedy. I will bet you whatever you want that Uncharted 4 finishes with a higher metascore and wins more GOTY awards than Quantum Break. Sales is not even in question.

More interested in Quantum Break simply because it's new. I started playing through the UC series on PS4 and made it until near the end of the second game and just tired of it.

Quantum Break is objectively going to be the better game. Everyone, even Playstation fans know this deep down inside. QB will have better gameplay, much better story and writing, and will be a much better and more fresh experience.

Uncharted 4 will be the same as the first 3 games, same mediocre gameplay, same plot and characters equivalent of a bargain bin straight to DVD movie.

Also QB will have replay value with it's digital episode mechanics, this is something that's actually new in video games. UC4 won't, beat it's linear on rails QTE single player in 8 hours, play the awful multiplayer for 3 days and trade the game in. QB will be much better, no contest.

Uncharted 4 for me personally, QB just doesn't interest me.

I'm gonna lol so hard when Uncharted 4 outscores and outsells QB. QB will be a stain on Uncharted 4's boot after ND is done steamrolling them.

Uncharted 4 will probably do better. I'm excited for it because I liked the other games, but maybe im not as excited for QB because I feel like I dont know much about it besides the basics

Stoked for both, but as far as impact, sales, hype, Uncharted is likely going to take it, even if hypothetically Quantum Break is a better game I don't think that'd guarantee a boost to Xbox sale nor do I think it means greater success as a title by itself, Sony fanboys by far out-matches Xbox in fanboys hype and in disparaging the value of the competition, and of course they have double the install base and a base thirsting for some quality big name AAA exclusives as they keep getting pushed back.

Quantum Break might release with Alan Wake as a BC incentive, hope they include American Nightmare. It was good of Naughty Dog to do an Uncharted collection for newcomers, wonder if they'll create a collectors edition quadrilogy when it releases. Hope when it releases Last of Us Remastered gets a price drop, it's still $50 on disc it should be cheaper already, I haven't played it yet but would like to soon.

I think MS should consider moving up its Quantum Break release date by at least a couple weeks if it's already good and done, to give it some breathing room to sell before Uncharted 4 releases, because once that releases it'll be soaking up all the attention most likely, they need to sell what they can sell while they can.

UC4 in sales, but QB in game quality

I will get both games and enjoy both games most likely. Which will be better? Who knows, we know the formula for Uncharted 4, but we don't really know QB yet. Only "time" will tell.

I'm more hyped for Uncharted 4, but I'd love to play Quantum Break. It's frustrating that Microsoft shafts PC gaming when it comes to their IPs. If Scalebound and Quantum Break were headed for PC they'd totally be on my list. Instead we get Gears of War: Ultimate Edition which is essentially a remake :-/. We haven't even seen a single Halo game make its way on to PC past Halo 2 (and no, I don't count Halo Wars). I know they have IPs that they want to keep for the Xbox platform so that it's exclusive, but can we at least get more for PC? It would be great to see these sorts of games make their way to at least Windows 10. Granted, there is also that f2p Fable game but still. Hardly anything on the level of Scalebound or Quantum Break or Halo.

It would be cool if dinosaurs appeared in the game.

Also, to anyone saying that uncharted 4 will crush QB the only thing it's guaranteed to crush QB in is sales right now. No one knows what the critical reception will be for both games.Either game could potentially disappoint.

Uncharted fans should be more worried about UC4 being as good as Rise of the Tomb Raider at this point. Uncharted being out-uncharted-ed (?) won't be a good thing.

QB is the one where you can freeze time and attack? If yes then it looked to repetitive to me while uncharted is more of the same uncharted with few more mechanics not really looking forward either if them but if I had to choose I will go with uncharted 4
