[QUOTE="Illumination77"]When are brainwashed fanboys going to learn BLU-RAY IS 100% COMPLETELY USELESS IT IS ONLY USED FOR NOT SWITCHING DISKS THAT BLOODY WELL IT.

And if they cant get a DEMO onto a dvd they are the WORST video game develoeprs on the planet. NOTHING should ever be so bloated that it cant fit on a dvd. No game in existence needs anything higher then 9 gigs unless it is overloaded with uselsss CGI movies. THe ONLY reason sony is deliberatly over-bloating their games is so they can sell you on a $1200 blu-ray player. 360 games have just as much content as ps3 games with BETTER graphics yet are afraction of the siz? Can someone tell me that? And explain if blu-ray is needed and esential for next gen gaming and the 360 is crippeled cause of dvd why Oblivion fits on a single-layer dvd and still clocks in at 100+ hours of gameplay with impressive graphics?

Its all uncompressed. Technically, there's no difference between compressed files and uncompressed files if it's lossless... For example, OGG FLAC music vs MP3. MP3 is very lossy, while OGG is lossless. OGG FLAC has the same quality as Pure Wav, but is a craploads smaller...

The lack of compression is nothing more than a ploy to say that Blu Ray is needed... [swlogic Just shows that PS3 can't handle decompression /SWlogic
This poster is absolutely correct. If Sony keeps on insisting on using uncompressed data just to "promote" the PS3's Bluray drive then they are going to start to have serious problems with load times because uncompressed data takes FOREVER to read on current optical drives...EVEN Bluray.
