Please, it is a known fact that the only game that has surpassed Gears of War (Unreal 3 Engine) is Crytek's Cry Engine 2 (Crysis). Cows, stop whining. The PS3 will have awesome graphics, but it won't be untill next year.wapahala

Um, the character animations in Uncharted are better, but everything else fails.BioShockOwnz

This is true. Uncharted has great animations but it does not look better.

Gears > Uncharted.

But, even being a  Lemming, I know Gears has terrible gameplay.  It's singleplayer sucks. Uncharted will win in that department, more than likely.

but there's also this feeling inside me that makes me think this game is WAY too similar to Farcry.

holy crap, gears of war looks godly in that picture, i only have an sdtv and it still looks amazing, that looks badass.

Hey, it's the cows that have 50 of these threads going.  If they don't want pretty cam shots of Gears when Uncharted doesn't have any, they should keep their mouths shut until Uncharted does.  It's idiotic to compare a game that is out to a game that isn't anyway.

so because uncharted didnt set this "STANDARD" you speak of gears looks better

Gears was simply more impressive. Comparing game to game, I feel that Gears does look better, but when a game with a heavy focus on graphical quality comes out, it will be compared to Gears of War before being compared to Uncharted.

Are you saying that those graphics are better than Gears of War? Because that stuff from the trailer doesn't look anywhere near as good as Gears. It looks good, but it's nothing special. You guys have got to stop filling this game up with hot air. You guys certainly spent a long time bashing the graphics of PDZ only to start hype a game with nearly identical graphics to godlike proportions. Seriously Uncharted could have been a decent game that slipped through the cracks, but you are setting yourselves up for major disaster. And why are you comparing a 3rd person platformer to a shooter?

The animation in uncharted is truly...horrible. He walks and runs like a  lego man. Gears looks better. Not that it matters as both are completely different games. And both will be outclassed by games in a year or so.

The Jungles in that game looks like crap... Crysiscompletely blows Uncharted away with it jungles!xyoojguy

I've got Gears of war and it doesn't look that nice on my TV, it really is a amazing looking game, and more importantly it's also a good game. I can't wait to see what they can do with the sequel.

I own a 360, and a PS3 as well....love them both. Anyway, I have to say that Uncharted is definitely looking better than Gears of War in it's as yet UNFINISHED state. I can only imagine how great it will end up overall upon it's release. Naughty Dog always delivers, this game is going to be a masterpiece....period.

All of the gaming mags, and review sites are singing nothing but praises for this game, saying that it is among the best they have seen so far this gen. By judging from all of the write-ups, the videos, and screens....the hype on this game is clearly justified as well. 

Ok now that people are saying off screen should be posted, well then here are some off screen of Uncharted that i took from the new 720p trailer and as everybody knows the 720p trailer never looks as good as the game it self because it's compresed but anyway take a look at this screens.

It's save to say now Uncharted -----> Gears even if this pictures where not taken from the full hd quality of the game. 

I have Gears and im enjoying the game since it came out and i still am but im fair enaugh to admit that this graphics are better.

Best looking game right after Crysis.

well that might be true, but still .. i would love to see some console game kicks 360's butt , and wii cant do it ... so its up to ps3 ... afaik PC's processing power is much higher now than it was 2 years ago when 360 launches .. its up to the devlopers to use that power ...

I will say it looks on par with Gears but its two different styles to say one looks better than the other...when I see it on my HDTV I can judge better...but I think Uncharted looks awesomeMedjai

I am not sure what see that eat that means? but I think you agreed with me right?

I have to agree just look at this. The game is unbelievable looking. The animations, and art design in my opinion are better.
