Uncharted takes gaming to a whole new level

I've watched several videos, and it looks like nothing more than Tomb Raider with a guy. Only it'll probably be half as long as the Tomb Raider games.

Remember, this is Naughty Dog. The makers of the awful "Way of the Warrior". Don't expect much.

what about the jak and daxter series I duno if you are joking around or not but wasn't way of the warrior like their first game and on 3do maybe I'm thinking of a different game.

Anyway this TC is obviously a fake boy trying to hype the game up to AAA status only to come in here with a differnt acount if it doesn't score AAA and use this thread as evidence of the crazy cows hyping anopther game that flopped.

Unchartered isn't taking gaming to new heights but could bring the aventure genre to new heights I am excited about the games animation system and blending the exploration with solid combat in most games in this genre its usually great combat or great platforming/puzzle elements only to have the couterpart be a letdown (the combat or platforming/puzzle elemnents). The graphics are great and contrary to what the above poster is trying to imply naughty dog has developed into one of the best consoles devs out there. This game is going to be good and if it wasn't for the fact that GS seems to lately handicap games for lack of multiplayer I would say it has a solid chance at scoreing AAA here which it still may if the game hits everything right but don't expect more than 9.0 cause like I said GS automatically knocks off points for lack of multiplayer whether its fair or not, or at least that my conclusion from some recent reviews(bioshock)

hey I agree with you crysis looks alot better than uncharted but its a PC game the standars are different because its fixed versus constanly changing hardware. That being said it would be nice to post a more recent pic of drake that is not a blurry scan just to be fair.

You guys do know that every 1080p TV has its only internal upscaler to make whatever image it receives match its native resolution. So yes, any console played on it is upscaled in some form or fashion, even if the console didn't do it for whatever reason. Therefore, all of you are playing 1080p if you actually own the thing, wow, celebrate! They are just sorta cheap upscalers;)

Now we got upscalling out of the way, if the game has textures set for a 1080 resolution, then it is native. Anything else is up (or down) scaled. Even computer games, when you select different rezes, sometimes scale from the closest "native" rez on disk.

Pretty crappy contrast ratio on those if I recall, but for their price, one of the cheaper 1080s.

And i had a 720p tv before, i just took it back to sams and traded it for this one, cuz you know sams club takes anything back. the contrast ratio is really good, and the picture is perfect, on my ps3, and wit my direct tv box, wich now has over 50 channels in hd,and buy year end it will have more than 150....YAAAAA DIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGG

I think they are invading because this game is still unproven, has not been reviewed yet, and it's yet another PS3 game that many Sony fans are hyping to no end.

When the game scores well here on Gamespot, then you can slap high 5's all around, but given the track record of PS3 exclusives so far I would use caution about which games you hype.

Eh... wasn't nearly as good as I was expecting. Not nearly as complicated, long, or diverse as it could've and should've been. Still interesting just imagined something much better from the concept. And yes I beat it and the advanced levels on PC. Might get some good custom levels that actually show off the potential though.

And i had a 720p tv before, i just took it back to sams and traded it for this one, cuz you know sams club takes anything back. the contrast ratio is really good, and the picture is perfect, on my ps3, and wit my direct tv box, wich now has over 50 channels in hd,and buy year end it will have more than 150....YAAAAA DIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGG

Denial, destructable trees adds a more realistic world, t takes gaming to a whole new level.

Denial? No. Logic, a concept of which you are unaware. There's a difference between stupidity and realism. Shooting some one in the arm and they drop their gun = realism. Destructable trees = stupidity, and maybe a tiny bit of realism. Mass Effect takes gaming to a new level. Prototype takes gaming to a new level. Fable 2 takes gaming to a new level. Uncharted takes gaming nowhere.
