Can see a 7/10 on GS from a mile away. This game would've been great if priced at 29.99 under the title of Battlefield 4: Hardline but nooo its EA.
Agreed. If this was BF4: Hardline then I would be pretty excited to pick it up. knowing that its a full priced game for it greatly diminishes my excitement.
It seems as well, aside from cloning steam (badly) they have ripped off the Team Fortress 2 drop system.
And (unlike team fortress 2) that actually has made content, much of these "drops" are simply power-boosts, with no labor what so ever. Lest we forget, Team Fortress 2 is a free game.
This game is £59.99 + micro transaction drops + £15 for 4 maps Team Fortress 2 now sits with roughly 60 maps, all of which free.
The new EA man promised things would be different.
Yep. Hardline definitely looks like shit. There's no denying it. Will most likely be passing on Hardline, at least until I see how it does after launch.
I don't think EA or visceral are ready for the massive flop this game is going to be. It will damage the Battlefield brand name in the long term despite a few million sales.
I feel sorry for Visceral though, they have been assigned to leap frog a Battlefield title because it will sell on brand name. The single player might be alright. I would rather Dead Space 3.5 than BF Hardline.

.They have essentially applied the grind or pay to get resource model of DK.
Don't make valve look like saints though. TF 2 went f2p because sales dropped off to practically nothing and they realized they could make more money by enticing f2p gamers into buying hats.
Also remember that TF 2 and CS GO have nowhere near the production values of BF games.
Who makes these corporate decisions? In which universe does selling a repackaged BF4 for a full 60 dollars, even though it should be DLC, to a bunch of self entitled gamers make any sense.

Team Fortress 2 was still in the top 5 played games on steam. It seems you are deliberately (unlike me) trying to force a bias reality, full of bias, with false fact that stain the savors and heroes of industry.

That digital deluxe BF 4 includes China Rising. Which has 4 maps, each map is about 5x the size of a CoD or TF 2 map.
Now On to TF 2. It went f2p 4 years after release. I would imagine most steam users who play fps already owned it. TF 2 went f2p not long after adding the TF 2 store.
No longer will you have to endure hours of Team Fortress 2 play just to unlock the game's hidden weapons, defensive items and wearable accessories. Today, Valve opened the Mann Co. Store, which lets you buy goods with real-world cash.
Update: It appears that the TF2 store is full of items priced higher than $4.99 USD. Some hats run $7.49, $9.99 and even a ludicrous $17.49. Yikes.
its not bad at all, its a great DLC, i will get it just like i did with BF:BC2 Vietnam (for 15 dollars)
The Vietnam dlc didn't have a campaign. By the time Hardline is $15 there will only be hardcore players left and you'll get owned.
sure its different, but for me and 85% of bf fans only MP matters
i will probally get it for $50 real in brazil wich is about 20 dollars, on black friday or some other sales day, in US it will be $30 on these sales days
about being owned, its been a long time since me my 400 dollars PC and my 5 dollars mouse got owned in any BF game

That's because with the exception of Bad Company there was never a strong focus on sp. To me it seems like the sp is the main attraction with Hardline. The ai is supposed to be so good that it makes the campaign highly replayable.

My friend a "big" map doesn't equal a "good" map. This is googoo gaga thinking. If we used this logic, those Call Of Duty maps people such as yourself play would be the shittest maps known to humanity (which they are).
Metacritic would suggest Valve are the greatest developer in the world alongside Nintendo while Dice barely hit 80.
"I imagine" Wonderful, but that's not an argument.
Using the argument of "oh well they sell items". Team Fortress 2, sells items for a title that costs £0 Battlefield sells boosts and content all ready in a £59.99 game. Team Fortress 2 gets additional constant and support while every single Battlefield items is already in, or deliberately taken out of the game.
I listed 60 maps. So, if we can't to go into semantics
Yeah, I wasn't very impressed with it. The grappling hooks and ziplines are a cool idea though. I just didn't find the game modes remotely engaging, and they really didn't seem to emphasize teamwork. I quit playing after about 3 matches.

4 maps for Battlefield 4 = £15
4 maps for Team Fortress 2 = £0
60 X £0 = 0
60/4 = 15
15 X £15 = £225
+ £59.99 for the game
+ £20 for power boosts
= £305
You failed to grasp my point about the map size. I never said bigger maps are better. I though my meaning was clear that the China Rising pack that's included with the digital deluxe edition that you were criticising adds a lot of content. The amount of content in China Rising is comparable to 2 or 3 CoD map packs.
This isn't about game ratings. You were using trying to make valve look like saints when they're not.
Most games sell practically nothing after 4 years. Going f2p was all about trying to get more gamers buying useless crap in the store. TF 2 store sells shortcut unlocks and hats. Useless crap.
Speaking of reskins what do you think CS Go is? $30 at release and looked no better than Left 4 dead.
The most notorious reskin in the history of gaming is by valve. Did you forget the huge outcry when Left 4 Dead 2 was announced?
At least Hardline has cutting edge graphics and sound fx with what could be one of the best fps campaigns in years. Left 4 dead was already technically outdated when it released and then they reskinned it and released a sequel a year later.
Power boosts aren't required. It doesn't take that long to get a good loadout in BF.
For cheap people who don't want to spend any money but wan to play a battlefield game there's BF Heroes. It has 15 maps which are about 4x the size of TF 2 maps.
EA has given BF 3, Dead Space and Plants vs Zombies for free in the last few months. What does valve give for free besides f2p style games that push microtransactions down you throat?

Rather make a great game comes in decade than mediocre game coming out every month. Valve is most repected developer in the world. what is the respect of EA? 24/7 they are getting criticize.

Playing blood money on a coordinated team was quite fun for me. A few guys camped the central vault while a few looted it, a few guarding our vault, the armored truck camping the enemies vault so teammates could loot it. It was total pwnage.

Comprehension troubles? Dead Space came out in 2008, BF 3 in 2011 and Plants vs Zombies 2014. I was pointing out that EA gave them for free, no strings attached no sub required etc. Understand now?
I found TF 2 to be mediocre. Left 4 dead and it's reskin sequel got boring after about 20 hours while Bf series gives me hundreds of hours of playtime.

You just outright implied it, made up poop about Valve and used a bunch of false and poor arguments.
